Thank you for reaching out. I do have significant concerns about my recent visit that I’d like on record. I brought my 2015 GMC Sierra in for a manufacturer airbag recall. Wh I do have significant concerns about my recent visit that I’d like on record. I brought my 2015 GMC Sierra in for a manufacturer airbag recall. When my vehicle was returned, the plastic bolt cover on the A-pillar trim was broken — damage that was immediately visible to anyone sitting in the front seat. More seriously, immediately after the recall repair my dash vents were completely inoperable. While attempting to adjust the A/C controls I heard a foreign object begin rattling inside the venting system — at which point the dash vents began working for the first time since the repair. When the rattling eventually stopped, the A/C was no longer capable of producing cold air. This sequence — inoperable vents, rattling object, restored airflow, then total loss of cooling — did not exist prior to my visit and is not consistent with a simple freon leak from a condenser. I contacted my service advisor, Sean Kim, immediately. He did not respond. I returned to the dealership and spoke with both Sean and service manager Rick Berry. We agreed that diagnostics would be run to check the blend door actuators before any other work was done. Instead, a freon capture and recharge was performed — the exact procedure I had explicitly asked them not to run — and I was told via text that there was no foreign object and my only problem was a leaking condenser. The agreed-upon diagnostic was never performed. I paid $464.05 under protest to retrieve my vehicle. I am requesting reimbursement of that amount. I want to be transparent: I will be declining any offer to have AutoNation investigate further. A technician who introduced a foreign object into a customer’s dash, broke interior trim, and left both issues unacknowledged does not inspire the confidence required for a diagnostic tear-down of my dash that could run as high as $1,200 in dealership labor. I have already engaged an independent mechanic to address the issue. I also would have utilized this mechanic for the capture and refill diagnostic at a fraction of your price. I brought you a vehicle with a perfect interior and a fully functioning A/C system for a recall repair GMC was obligated to perform. I expect GMC to stand behind that obligation. To provide some context about me as a customer: I am 58 years old and have owned six GM vehicles throughout my life, driving Sierras as my daily driver since 2000. I will not be returning to AutoNation Buick GMC, and this experience has me seriously reconsidering whether my next truck will be a GMC at all. More

Interesting visit, service writer Sean did a good job on the visit. It started odd as he questioned my coupon that had been sent to me by the dealership via email for a $49.95 oil change. While I found his the visit. It started odd as he questioned my coupon that had been sent to me by the dealership via email for a $49.95 oil change. While I found his questions kind of odd, he eventually told me that they had been duped by an AI coupon that was created for a $14.95 oil change and the service manager had put the service team on notice to be on the lookout for these scams. After he let me know the situation I better understood his questions and he did honor the coupon. We had a good conversation about AI and scams, it's too bad the dealership has to deal with this kind of scam. When the service was complete, he let me know there were a couple of additional items that I should put on my service list, I appreciated that he did not pressure me but was honest about the timing for these additional services and gave me a reasonable time frame to get them completed. After I picked up my vehicle, I always double check for leaks, it's the engineer in me. I noticed that the GMC dealership used a standard STP oil filters and not the AC Delco which was a little surprising to me. I know both filters are made by Champion but I would have felt more comfortable with the AC Delco filter and assumed that's what would have been used at a dealership. Maybe the STP is a better filter but still a bit of a surprise. All in all I will return for any further service, but might bring my own filter in the future:) More

On Dec 13th I saw a 2021 Yukon XL priced on their website for $36,567 that I was interested in. I contacted the store, spoke with Cadarious (not sure proper spelling) who informed me the vehicle is available for $36,567 that I was interested in. I contacted the store, spoke with Cadarious (not sure proper spelling) who informed me the vehicle is available, though unable to test drive as the vehicle is in the shop being reconditioned for sale. I thought I was lucky to get a desk manager to have a more efficient phone call, but turned out to be a waste of time, and here is what happened. While on that phone call I confirmed the correct sales price. I understand when a dealership takes a car in on trade, or from the auction there is a cost to recon the car, and that cost is (supposed to be) already factored into the sales price. Because I understand that I asked several times, in different ways, to make sure we were both on the same page, and that recon cost was already factored into the advertised price of $36,567. Cool. Perfect. My wife and I go into the store, get brought into the shop, check out the vehicle. We liked the vehicle and wanted to purchase it. We told them we want to buy it but since we're unable to test drive it, we would like to be contacted as soon as it's ready to test drive and then purchase it as long as it drives right. We wanted to ensure nobody else was able to swoop in on the vehicle if someone at the dealership didn't contact us right away. The sales manager said he would go see if one of their tech's was able to get started on right away, and we would potentially be able to come back later that night to purchase it. He assured me that the vehicle likely only needed normal things, and since they're a GM store they likely had everything already in stock. Well, that didn't turn out to be the case at all. Yesterday the salesman Piero informed us the sales price has somehow jumped to $40,000 - and that the OEM running boards don't work. I told Piero that the sales manager and I confirmed the sales price was $36,567 and that the vehicle was only needing small normal things - that they likely had in stock. I also asked Piero if he could contact the sales manager or the GM to see what could be done and to contact me. Informed him (if it had any influence in the situation to the sales manager or the GM) that I had previously worked for AutoNation here in Las Vegas and understand a somewhat decent portion of the business, which is literally why I asked the sales manager multiple times about the price and the recon. Here we are Thursday, and I get a call from Cadarious asking if we are ready to come in, that the vehicle is ready - instead of addressing the issues? I had to ask about the sales price somehow magically increasing about $3500 and the running boards not working. He said the BCM had to be replaced and the running boards aren't working and have been taken off. I don't know who made mistakes during this ordeal, but the advertised price was $36,567, and now they're asking $40,000. They are not honoring their asking price. They're also not willing to show their cost on the repairs to fully recon the vehicle, even though the $36K price was already supposed to include recon cost, which would restore my confidence purchasing this vehicle at an increased price. I don't know how this dealership operates, and I unfortunately don't know any of the employees to find out what the honest truth here is, but it seems like someone realized $36k was too far below market and raised the price about $3500 to fit market. If that's the case, someone should get their pricing correct before they publish it online for the world to see. I don't know what the true story is, but it sure is a shame the advertised price means nothing, and the phone call also means nothing. Apparently, the GM, Michael Bell is either not able or not willing to sell at the original asking price. It's a shame too, because I honestly had a good feeling when speaking with the sales manager in person that he was being sincere, and I really wanted that vehicle. More
