I visited the dealership on April 8th to purchase an Acura RDX. I'm sad to say it has not been a very good buying experience. The lack of integrity is dishearten to say the least. When I left the dealership on April 10th and got the new car home, my husband to discover damage on the passenger side of the vehicle, which is something I believe the salesman should have seen since he got in on the passenger side of the car. I brought the vehicle back and discussed with Ryan Bernard, the Business Manager. He stated he would have the car fixed on a rush basis. Please note, I had to follow up with the salesman since he did not call to share the status of the car. I went to pick up the car a second time and the damage was still apparent even though the salesman said he didn't see it. So, he called the Body shop manager and her response was that was the best she could do in two days. Sorry that is not acceptable with the purchase of a new vehicle. If it was going to take longer to fix the car correctly, someone should have called to discuss. So Roger Rodems got involved. I asked him if this was his car, what would he do. He stated that he would offer a second chance to get it right. My response was I'm giving a third chance of integrity. Roger, called and stated the car would be ready on Wednesday of this week. Please note I specifically stated it the car was not fixed, for them not to sell my Lexus and I would be back to pick it up along with a check, I did not finance this car. So seven (7) days after giving my car and $30K I have still yet to have possession of the car I purchased. So the question is would I do business again with AutoNation Acura Gulf Freeway, I'm not sure. It will depend on if they are able to correct the damage to the car I purchased. Also, I was assured by Ryan, that some of compensation would be provided for the first time I brought the car back, discussed with the salesman and he had no knowledge. When someone purchases a vehicle, they desire to be dealt with in a fair manner and integrity. This experience has kept the reputation of buying a car the same, an experience people do not like. Everyone states "they hate to buy a car". That statement stands with me. Somehow the reputation needs to be changed. Sincerely, Betty Gallardo More
