I AM A NURSE THAT WORKS MORE THAN I EAT OR SLEEP. MY SISTER'S CAR WAS A 2001 AND READY TO BE REPLACED, ONCE I FOUND A CAR FOR ME, I WAS GIVING HER MY CAR. I CALLED AUTOLENDER.COM IN WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ ON THE TELEPHONE THE NIGHT BEFORE, THIS DEALER HAD A CAR MOVED FROM WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ TO LAKEWOOD, NJ FOR ME TO SEE. I THOUGHT, TOO ACCOMODATING, MY RED FLAGS WERE STARTING TO COME UP. MY FAMILY PRAYED FOR THE SALESMAN THAT WOULD HAVE TO DEAL WITH ME SO MUCH THEY MET ME AT THE DEALERSHIP, I ARGUE WITH EVERYONE AT THE DROP OF A DIME WHEN I THINK I AM GOING TO BE HOSED. THE CAR I CAME TO SEE WAS PERFECT FOR THE PRICE, BUT THE OTHER CARS ON THE LOT WERE MAGNIFICENT FOR THE FACT THAT THEY WERE USED. IT WAS LIKE A CHILD AT TOYS R US AND EVERYONE WAS MORE THAN HAPPY TO ACCOMMODATE. REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY QUESTIONS YOU HAD OR HOW MANY CARS YOU WANTED TO SEE. AFTER WALKING AROUND THIS HUGE LOT, I SAY THAT BECAUSE IT WAS NICE AND COLD AND THE EXERCISE WAS GOOD FOR ME... I CHOSE A LUXURY CAR, I AM TOO OLD FOR KID CARS... LOL AND I CAN STILL BE THRILLED, WHEREAS, I THOUGHT NOTHING THRILLED ME, BUT THIS CAR DID. THE P.S. TO THE STORY IS... I LEFT THE SHOWROOM ABOUT 2 HOURS LATER WITH A CAR THAT WAS 2 1/2 TIMES THE PRICE I CAME IN TO SEE, NO PRESSURES, NO HASSLES, NO WASTE OF TIME. THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PROCESS, ALL OF THE TIME WAS SPENT ON LOOKING FOR MY CAR. I LED THE SALESMAN, NOT THE SALESMAN LEADING ME. ALL I HAD TO DO IS TELL HIM WHICH CAR I WANTED TO SEE. NO EXCUSING HIMSELF TO TAKE CARE OF THREE OR MORE OTHER PEOPLE, THEN HAVING TO RETURN TO CATCH UP WHERE WE LEFT OFF, LKE OTHER DEALERSHIPS. THEY HONESTLY CARED ABOUT ME AND MY BEING HAPPY WHEN I LEFT THE SHOWROOM. I FELT IMPORTANT IN EVERY WAY ! FROM THE MOMENT I ENTERED THE SHOWROOM, THERE IS A WARM, WELCOMING FEELING THAT MELTED AWAY MY WORRY OF BEING "TAKEN FOR A RIDE". I LOVE THESE PEOPLE... REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE OTHER STAFF WERE WORKING ON MY SALE OR NOT, THEY ALL SMILED AND SAID HELLO. THE FAMILY ATMOSPHERE IS JUST BEAUTIFUL, MY SALESMAN, HAS WORKED FOR THE DALERSHIP FOR OVER 7 YEARS. WOW...THE MAN WHO DETAILED MY CAR REFUSED A GRATUITY 5 TIMES, THE JOB HE DID WAS FLAWLESS, YOU KNOW I LEFT HIM THE MONEY. This was my first experience buying a car from a dealership, I have always bought used cars from private parties, never had a car payment in my life and have always been lucky enough to only have 1 dealership, I have always bought used cars from private parties, never had a car payment in my life and have always been lucky enough to only have 1 lemon all these years. Besides that my X was always the one who sought out my cars. Being single and my old manual Toyota Rav4 which had never let me down since buying it 6 years old at 47,000 miles from a private party finally started showing its age and parts that don't last forever started going one after another. I kept putting money into it but realized it was finally time to do the inevitable, seek out another source of transportation all by myself. A friend recommended Auto Lenders in Lakewood, to me and put me in the hands of Joel DeFreitas who came very highly recommended. I was immediately at ease upon meeting Joel and talking with him. He had a keen sense for understanding a person's character and finding the right car to suit them. I did not want just a car but something with a bit of personality. I also enjoy driving a manual transmission and all the cars on the lot in my price range did not offer that. Joel took the time to research their inventory and found me my perfect car. My new 2008 Toyota Scion has a manual transmission, is very peppy and has the characteristics of an SUV. The more I am driving this car, the more I'm loving it. Finances were a bit of a problem for me, as I said, I've never had to deal with a car payment and for me, taking on another bill is taking on alot, even though I resigned myself to it. Lou DeServio went out of his way to make this financially possible for me to drive away with. My Rav4 's power steering pump gave out about a month ago, I had oil leaking from many parts of the engine, the exhaust pipe recently had to be welded back together because age, wear and tear kicked in, I had no more air conditioning, last summer I needed a new system, it was more than I could afford so I had to pay a mechanic $100.00 to remove it. Doors routinely froze as soon as the temp dropped below freezing so I had to climb in through the back hatch, seat belts would jam. When Joel saw what I was driving he said if I walked out without that Scion, he would not be able to sleep that night. Joel is the type of person when he said this to me I knew it was coming from his heart and it was not just a sales pitch. I was in tears but I assured him I would be fine until I figured out my budgeting, as I also just bought a Co op in an adult community and would be closing on Feb 28th. I was beyond overwhelmed. I went to the ladies room to pull myself together before leaving and upon returning to get my things Lou DeServio called me into his office and was somehow able to bring my monthly payments to a figure that I was comfortable enough to make the purchase. I would send my whole family to these people and would be very glad if everyone I care about would do business with Joel, Lou and all the other people who made this experience so positive. They have taken the reputation of car salespeople to an altogether different level. Trusting, caring and priding themselves on their reputation and their word, this was truly a refreshing experience! My son bought a used 2009 Nissan Altima two weeks ago. I recommended the Lakewood branch of Auto Lenders to Chris as I had purchased a used Lexus RX330 almost three years ago. Chris wasn't considering an Altima until recently because he didn't think he could afford one as he just started a new job as a registered nurse and he had a limited budget. The servicemean that worked with Chris, Kyle Burst, and his manager, Lou, worked with Chris and gave him an excellent price and arranged a much lower interest rate on his loan that his credit union offered. In my experience, not many dealers offer a bumper to bumper 6,000 warranty. I never needed to use this on the car I purchased there, but it a nice option to have in buying a used car. In summary, the two men Chris dealt with did an exceptional job in working with Chris. I also had a good experience working with this company and I would recommend them to others looking for a reliable used vehicle. The idea that you can drive the car without a salesman being in the car is a plus too and the lack of a high pressure apporach is something I appreciate. More
