Well, we can no longer say that! We bought our Sonata from AutoFair in September of 2013 and came back for our next Hyundai 18 months later. Now we proudly own a Sonata AND a Veloster! It took 3 trips over several months of casual shopping to find our newest ride, but Doug was always patient, professional and inviting. He never pushed a car on us we weren't interested in and never tried to sell us outside our budget. I can't wait to see what great ride we get in the future! -Brian More
Highest pressure sales ever Just got an illegal cold call (illegal as I am on the do-not-call list) from “Kristina” from Autofair Hyundai Manchester NH. She explained that they w Just got an illegal cold call (illegal as I am on the do-not-call list) from “Kristina” from Autofair Hyundai Manchester NH. She explained that they were performing some “system cleanup” and wanted to know if I were still in the market for a Hyundai. I explained that I was on the do-not-call-list and she apologized and explained that they just got a new system and that it was not pulling from the do-not-call list yet. Hummm, sounds fishy. Usually you perform system cleanup before converting to a new system don’t you? Normally to avoid legal trouble wouldn’t you connect to the National Do-Not-Call Registry prior to implementation? Ya I know. Regardless, apparently they still had my personal contact information from over 2.5 years ago when my daughter and I stopped by there looking at vehicles (she ended up with a Subaru). Never have I been in such a high pressure sales situation. Ever. First, you pull in and the only parking on the whole lot is directly in front of the building – facing floor to ceiling windows with no less than a dozen sales vultures eager to pounce on you the minute you open your door. It is comical really. They pop up like whack-a-moles. You can almost read their lips “I got this one”. But these are only the drones. They rush out and stick to you like Velcro the whole time you are looking at vehicles – and apparently are instructed not to let you leave without having you speak to their manager. It’s unbelievable actually. Then the manager asks you essentially the same set of questions the drone just did? They however also tell you that you qualify for all kinds of discounts, promotional deals, and a bunch of other BS before you have to essentially tell them that you have to go to the bathroom in order to sneak out the back door to get away. And whatever you do – DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR KEYS – for a complementary appraisal of your trade-in. If so, plan on spending the night. You are captured. Incredible high pressure waste of time. And yes, over 2 years later I am apparently still receiving cold calls from them. And yes I did report them to the Do-not-call registry – as well as making others aware of their practices in forums such as this. More
