I am completely satisfied with the experience I had with the sales person (Tony Galbraith) that worked with me concerning the purchase of my new car. He answered all my questions, gave me a lot of addition the sales person (Tony Galbraith) that worked with me concerning the purchase of my new car. He answered all my questions, gave me a lot of additional information that was pertinent and allowed me to drive any style or model of vehicle that I requested. He was patient and accommodating, as was all the staff with which I interacted. I purchased a remote start when I bought the car and returning the vehicle for the installation was done with my convenience in mind. I have received follow up calls to see if I had any problems or questions and to see if everything is going well with the vehicle. Customer service has been exemplary. More
Our car is two years old and had about 10,500 miles on it at the time this happened. Auffenberg Hyundai changed our oil and did not put oil in the car before letting my wife drive off. She drove 2 miles. She at the time this happened. Auffenberg Hyundai changed our oil and did not put oil in the car before letting my wife drive off. She drove 2 miles. She took the car back and they basically put oil in the car and rushed her out as to keep things quiet. After I got involved they wrote a letter stating Auffenberg will cover the engine to 100K miles but according to the warranty if I have a problem and have to take it someplace else it is not covered if it is deemed lack of oil is the cause. I asked them if they would do a complete engine tear down to inspect and they stated that if they did not find anything wrong they would charge me $2000. I then asked for a new engine. They said if they did that it would be a "Like Kind Quality" (LKQ) engine. I later found this meant it was going to come from a salvage yard. This is all for a problem they caused. And in the end we still had to pay for the oil change! Do not use their service department! Or for that matter buy a car from these people! More
My overall experience with this dealer was just okay. I was not very impressed with the buying experience. I did research on the car I purchased and wasn't impressed with the initial price. The salespers was not very impressed with the buying experience. I did research on the car I purchased and wasn't impressed with the initial price. The salesperson was okay. I am still disappointed in the explanation of fees for the purchase. The salesman explained them but I felt that I was being mislead and I would not recommend anyone to visit this dealership. My main concern was being charged for having nitrogen in my tires versus normal air. So why am I (the buyer) being charged for something that the dealer made the decision to performance when that procedure isn't required. I also questioned the price for paperwork and after researching that in Illinois the most that can be charged for paper work fees is listed on the Secretary of State website. Bottom Line...I will probably not ever do business with this dealership or recommend anyone to that dealership. Sincerely, Mr. Arthur Bridges More
I received a letter in the mail from Auffenberg telling me that now is the optimum time to trade in my car to get the most out of it. I filled out the information online as requested, and received an email me that now is the optimum time to trade in my car to get the most out of it. I filled out the information online as requested, and received an email from Matt Auffenberg. His responses were always prompt and he was very helpful. He turned me over to Josh Vick, and from there to Tony Galbraith who finalized the deal. Tony's service was excellent. He was extremely helpful and friendly. He answered all my questions, and answered questions I didn't know I had. Tony showed me all the wonderful little gadgets my car came equipped with and made sure I could operate everything. I bought my first used car at Auffenberg Hyundai, an Elantra. Now, thanks to Matt, Josh and Tony, I'm driving a 2011 Genesis Coupe. I will definitely be a repeat customer, and have spread the word about the great service and products this dealership offers. THANKS GUYS!!! More

The sales experience was very good. Auffenberg didn't seem to play the "let me run this by my supervisor" game as so many dealers do. It was much faster and refreshing. seem to play the "let me run this by my supervisor" game as so many dealers do. It was much faster and refreshing. More
We came in looking for a used car and Tony talked us into trying a new Santa Fe. We liked the car and started to do the deal with a trade in on our truck, but the initial offer for our vehicle was $1700 les trying a new Santa Fe. We liked the car and started to do the deal with a trade in on our truck, but the initial offer for our vehicle was $1700 less than any other, and nearly $2000 under KBB. When we said we couldn't do the deal Tony went to talk the manager and came back with another offer that was a bit higher on a different vehicle. After we said we were not intersted, Tony went back to the manager a couple more times and came back with another offer that was $1200 higher than the original one for the car we wanted. When we finally agreed to do the deal one of the things we said we wanted was a luggage rack, but we never got it. What we did get was a useless first aid kit and I-pod cable that we will never use. When we asked about leaving them out we were told that was impossible? As a member of the Air Force I was happy to see that the dealership offered a military discount, but other than that I don't have much positive to say about our 4 1/2 hour car buying experience, and it will be hard to recommend this dealership to any of 300 or so Airmen that work with me.
