Robert was the sales professional I first dealt with. He was sincere, knowledgeable, patient, and easy to work with. This was the first time I've purchased a vehicle and enjoyed the experience. The prices was sincere, knowledgeable, patient, and easy to work with. This was the first time I've purchased a vehicle and enjoyed the experience. The prices at the dealership were fair and I was satisfied with my purchase. Peter (Finance Manager) did his job and as usual asked about interest in extended warranties. However, he was never pushy or aggressive. Appreciated that very much since the Finance Managers are usually the most aggravating to deal with. Chris completed my sale next day (Robert was off) and he was again one of the most pleasant sales professionals. Thank you Audi of Smithtown! I really wish I could purchase another vehicle from you folks....soon! EA More
This review is coming in 7 months short, but thought it would be helpful to provide a review of my first free maintenance schedule on my 6month/5,000mi maintenance. I scheduled to come in during my vaca would be helpful to provide a review of my first free maintenance schedule on my 6month/5,000mi maintenance. I scheduled to come in during my vacation week between Christmas and New Years of 2010 a week prior. This marked more or less the 5 month mark since I bought my 2.0T Q5 from the same dealership. The day I was supposed to arrive, there was a big snow storm. They called me that morning to reschedule for the day after. I arrived with a low tire pressure warning on my dashboard that I saw the day before. I parked the car in the service center area. Handed over my keys to a lady there handing all incoming services. I waited in the general waiting area. Had some complementary coffee and breakfast bars, surfed the net on my phone using their WiFi connection, and took a look at the showroom. Waiting for about 30 minutes to see if they brought up any issues with the car. I had decided to get the ~$800 4yr/40,000mi maintenance package. I approached the finance guy to purchase the maintenance package. Asked for a discount, but they said they could not. Still bought the package. They handled all the paper work. After a full 45 minutes, I got the Q5 back. Was told of all maintenance done on the Q5. (Which I later verified as much as I could from the car computer.) Asked why they didn't provide a free car wash as described in their brochure. They said it was too cold for a car wash and the car wash is done outdoors. I guess it made sense. It was 20 degrees that day and there was snow everywhere. No low tire pressure indicator. I did get the low pressure tire indicator again 2 weeks later. I brought it to my local Minike to inspect the tire and they found a nail stuck inside the tire that cause the air to leak. I guess this Audi service center doesn't exactly do that thorough of an inspection, although tire repairs aren't covered under warranty. So I guess this wasn't a big issue. All in all, nothing really to point out. There wasn't anything wrong with the Q5, so there wasn't really much that could have gone wrong. No issues even after 7 months. Service was decent, but nothing to show off about. Just what was expected. I plan to go back for my 1yr/10,000mi maintenance. More

After several phone calls and BS answers from Brian Miller, I filed a formal complaint with Audi, contacted the NYS Attorney General and finally got confirmation that my Lexus was paid off 1 month after my purchase. I would strongly recommend finding an honorable dealership to buy a car from. They don't deserve your business! More
Let me first state that Audi dealerships in general suck compared to all other luxury brands. It's not that do anything poorly, it's just that other luxury brands like Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, and Acura compared to all other luxury brands. It's not that do anything poorly, it's just that other luxury brands like Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, and Acura do a better job. But at the end of the day we wanted the Audi Q5. Ok, for the review: I was limited to three dealerships when shopping for the just released 2011 Q5 2.0T with the exact options I was looking for in stock. I didn't count the ones who said they had them, but wouldn't give me a price over the phone. With that said, Valenza at Audi of Smeithtown gave me the best price by about $200 better then the next dealer, only because the doc fee in NJ (no cap restrctions like in NY) was going to be higher by $200. I did only 2 back and forth with prices since there was realistically only one other delaer working with me on pricing, and both dealerships were budging only by $100 by that point. I later found that ZAG.com was offering $500 over invoice from a dealership in NJ, so I over paid by $100. Not complaining. Everything said and done, I was generally happy with the transaction. We did give Valenza a hard time during the transaction process since we asked what every line was, but it all added up at the end without any gotcha fees we weren't expecting. Since we took alot of his time during the transaction process, I guess he was a bit rushed on showing us the ins and outs of the car, but so were we. He did show us pretty much everything about the car. There was a missing emergency key when we got back hoome, but he fedex an emergency key to us without question. He sent us a thank you letter a week later. I do plan on going back to do my 1st free maintenance schedule over the local Audi dealership in my area. Their facilities looked fairly new and inviting, so it was nice. The finance guy did try to sell us alot of after market crap, but we did get heavy discounts like on LoJack and other stuff I didn't think we need, but the wife thought we needed. They weren't pushy about it, but I guess it's the customer's job to say "no thanks." and also ask for a better deal if you want it. So was it a great experience? No. Did I get the car for a steal? No. Was there anything wrong with Audi of Smithtown? Nothing I can really point out to. So I would go back again when the time comes to upgrade. More
I had a pleasant experience when I chose this car. The dealer seemed to be very helpful and professional. But I had a horrible experience when I picked up the car. The dealer claimed that there's no hidde dealer seemed to be very helpful and professional. But I had a horrible experience when I picked up the car. The dealer claimed that there's no hidden fee when we sign the contract. The dealer added extra fee when he delivered the car. When I argued that we should respect the price of the original contract, he threatened not to sell the car... He knew too well that I was not going to walk away b/c of the additional couple of hundred dollars, since i have already spent so much... nice play of the dealer, but i will never ever buy from or recommend this dealership... Their customer service department has always been prompt when having to service my cars. Most recently, I was shopping for a new audi, and had contacted Prem their sales consultant. Prem was as able to find me exactly the car I was looking for. Prem's level of service was stellar with no haggling in the process. Also, I was able to close on my car by phone with their finance department which too was a straight forward process. This is a reputable dealership and I recommend it to anyone who is serious about buying an Audi. More
