We always reply to all clients who share their experience because it is incredibly important to us as a company who's been in business for over 40 years. We cannot continue doing business without loyal and happy clients. We take each of these very seriously. I am so sorry to hear your experience fell short of your expectations. Our partial payment policy (also known as a deposit) is due to the fact that all of our inventory is on a first come, first served basis. If a client expresses interest in one of our vehicles and it is the only one of its type, we will always let them know if there has been other interest in the vehicle and give them the option to retain the vehicle with a partial payment and finalize documents shortly thereafter. This is to prevent the customer from missing out on the vehicle. Unfortunately, these things happen more often than we'd like and on the opposite end of the spectrum if we aren't honest about it and don't give a customer the option of securing the vehicle with a deposit and it sells, we end up with an unhappy guest because the vehicle sold on them. It is not a requirement to leave a deposit, it is simply an option. We just provide the information and let the client make the decision that is best for them. We have always allowed clients to take our pre-owned vehicles to their personal mechanic, in fact we encourage that because we want you to feel confident in the vehicle you're purchasing. This is a process we allow quite often to be honest. What we don't encourage are test drives alone. While we do allow them if the client specifically requests that, it is not part of our process due to the fact that we know the best test drive routes for side roads and highways and we can respond to questions or concerns that arise while clients are driving. If you are having problems with your Apple Car Play, that is handled by the Manufacturer's Warranty which we could certainly help you address with the proper team of people. I have personally had many issues with my Apple Car Play over the years even on my brand new 2025 Honda Pilot. It is not uncommon (if you read about Apple Car Play online, you'll see it's in fact quite common unfortunately and sometimes is simply due to a bad charging cord) and the manufacturer handles the support for that. If you have concerns about the safety check that was performed by our Certified Technicians, we have all of the documentation to show what work was needed to pass the MA safety inspection as well as what we completed for service work. We would be more than happy to provide that to both you and your mechanic. We are always upfront about this and even post it on our website on every pre-owned vehicle for customers to see themselves. The vehicle is a used car and is outside of factory warranty so Toyota will not cover the Apple car play issue. I had to pay 130.00 for service, 180.00 to fix the radio, and I will be out 900.00 for tires. I reached out to my car sales person and invited collaboration on reasonably solution but the solutions offered placed financial burden on me to resolve reinforcing there’s no interest on the dealers behalf to rectify problems encountered after purchase. It was communicated that the deposit is required to hold the car for just 1 day. If the car play is a known and common issue, this should have been checked prior to my purchase. The safety check is great, I’m glad that you completed this. However, tires, oil change, and updates to the radio was not completed. I paid full price for the car, I hoped Bernardi would deliver a car that was serviced and functional so that I didn’t have to worry about this after my purchase.
