I recently moved back to south Florida and have a very trusted dealership in Nebraska. So, I was reluctant to work with a new one. I had brought my aging and ailing Escape in for an AC issue that I knew c trusted dealership in Nebraska. So, I was reluctant to work with a new one. I had brought my aging and ailing Escape in for an AC issue that I knew could be costly if the problem was serious. Knowing this, I'd already done quite a bit of homework and consulted the buying service through my bank, USAA. I got a exceptionally good quote on a new 2013 Focus SE from them and with that in mind, I decided on a dollar figure that if the repair on the Escape exceeded, I'd leave with it un-repaired and go buy the Focus from USAA's quoted dealer. While I waited for the verdict on my little SUV, I engaged Jesse Estrada, in some back and forth questions and answers regarding the Focus and mentioned I wanted to test drive one, since I'd not had the opportunity to do so. I was clear with him (and he was agreeable) that I was not buying and only looking. Jesse (and ultimately Armstrong Ford) turned out to be an absolute gem. He was affable, straightforward and patient. He took me out for my test drive and readily answered my myriad questions and concerns regarding the Focus. He never pressured during my entire visit and really too the time to spend with me, knowing (at first) that I was not looking to buy that day. Then came the verdict on my venerable Escape. The cost to repair exceeded my "go to" number handily. I thanked Jesse for his time, but told him I was going elsewhere for the purchase, as I'd already gotten a guaranteed offer for another dealership. Jesse proposed that if he could get me the same or better equipped car, that day for less money, then would I buy from him. I told him I would, but the offer would have to be fantastic. I went online and printed out the offer from USAA and gave him a copy. I told him flat out that if he couldn't beat that, and give me what I was looking for from my trade, then to please not waste both of out time and I'll go elsewhere. Jesse rose to the occasion handily. He went and inspected my old ride and made me a trade-in offer that exceeded my expectations. Additionally, he sat down and we "built" my ideal car (Ford Focus SE Hatchback in Blue Candy Metallic) on paper. He went to his manager and they located me a fairly local car that not only had what I was looking for, but had a bit more. He went to the manager with my quote and not only gave me exceedingly good numbers, but he and his manager found me $3550 in rebates and incentives to apply to the purchase cost. They showed me the final numbers, knowing in advance that I wasn't going to dicker. Either the number were going to be good, or I was going to walk. The numbers were great! I signed the proposal and Jesse went to work to get the car delivered that afternoon. However, I had to go to work and had a time crunch. Jesse and his manager bent over backwards to accommodate my schedule. Jesse made arrangements to provide me a loaner car so I could get to work without delay. Then, he surprised me by offering to deliver the new Focus to my place of work. I work in downtown Miami and this dealership is in Homestead! Jesse delivered the car to me later that afternoon as promised, made sure that my next oil change is free of charge and even is providing me with tires and batteries if I should need them for 100K miles! I really "beat up" Jesse and his manager from the get go. I don't have nearly the space to write it all. Let me just say that this dealership really knows how to please a customer. To me, customer service is a dying art, but it is still something I hold dear. I will give any business my loyalty if they are simply honest, fair and provide good customer service. Jesse and by extension Armstrong Ford really give excellent service. I will recommend this dealership for both service and sales and will certainly not hesitate to send my friends there. Oh, and I love my new '13 Ford Focus, great little car, with a lot of "big car" features and great ride/handling. More
I was actually recommended to Jesse Estrada by ANOTHER dealership. (which in itself must describe the service that he provides). He was friendly, knowledgable and was more than willing to go out of his wa dealership. (which in itself must describe the service that he provides). Be aware! they held my down payment for several days and refused to return it $2500. I put a down payment for a car they were expected to have the car in two days, then a few days but the car never arrive refused to return it $2500. When I get there to get my refund 10 days after,(I was with my husband and my kid) 2 guys get up and threaten my husband to beat him if he didn't leave. They said were going to issue the money I paid in advance whenever they like. Unprofessional... more likely to be a mafia associate then a car dealer. I learned not go look for a ford anymore. They have no clue on how to train their employee or they simply choose the most ignorant. It was sad to see that show. More
I was vacationing in Homestead and oil change on my truck. I took my truck to Armstrong Ford for an oil and filter change and I asked the salesman to top off the diesel exhaust cleaning fluid. after th truck. I later checked my tire pressure myself and found that they were 4 psi low. Later after about 700 miles of driving my computer tells me that I need an oil change. It is late Saturday afternoon so I cannot contact Armstrong Ford and since I am pulling a heavy camper I lay over for an extra day at a campground til Monday morning when I can have the situation checked out. On Monday morning since I am now 450 miles from Homestead I take the truck into another Ford dealer to have them check out the situation. On the way there my computer now says I am low on diesel exhaust cleaner. The other Ford dealer is not able to confirm that the oil or the oil filter has been changed in the last 700 miles so recommends I have them changed. Since I do not want to risk damaging a one year and a half year old truck, I agree to pay them to do it. They also fill the diesel exhaust fluid. When I contact Armstrong about the situation and ask them if they will help me out financially in this situation they refuse to credit any of the expense. They said they changed the oil and filter, but forgot to reset the computer and that I had purchased valve cleaner additive and not diesel exhaust cleaner. I will never know if Armstrong changed the oil or not, but how could I trust that they did after their other mistakes. More
This is my third car from Armstrong Ford. I have moved twice and I still go back to Armstrong Ford. They treated me with respect, they beat two other dealer price and they were more friendly. I had a run in with a deer. Armstrong Ford send the tow truck to pick up my car from the tow yard that was giving me a hard time. I went to this dealer to buy a new truck. I traded in a Ford 150 for a new Ford 150. They totally ripped me off!! Then told us to leave (after bringing the truck back) and if we wanted to deal with him, he stated, "get an attorney - I don't have to do anything for you." Ford credit nor Ford corporate will help us out at all!! Therefore, we documented EVERYTHING and we are turning it over to the television stations to air it over south florida as to their shady business practices. I have let everyone know DO NOT BUY A FORD!!! And do NOT go to this dealership. Military personnel: DO NOT BUY A FORD ESPECIALLY FROM ARMSTRONG!! More
