We Can’t Let You Keep a Written Quote If you’re shopping for a car, it wouldn’t be unusual to ask for the price in writing. Wakefield Subaru will present a written quote, but you can’t tak If you’re shopping for a car, it wouldn’t be unusual to ask for the price in writing. Wakefield Subaru will present a written quote, but you can’t take take it home to review outside the pressure of the show room. You can write it down yourself while they sit there and watch. The sales person said “Company policy is we don’t let you keep written quotes.” Then the sales person said: “We don’t want you running to another dealership trying to beat my price by $50. or $100.” Wasn’t that a nice thing to hear? Uh, yeah, I didn’t say I was trying to do anything like that, and thanks for your kind words and assumptions. I would like to review your proposal in the comfort and quiet of my home. The new car buying experience is not easy. I’m not saying I don’t recommend Wakefield Subaru, I would just be circumspect in approaching anybody that works there. More
