I had leased a car from Airport Honda, actually this was my 2nd lease from them. Now all the staff has changed. After weeks of working with Keith Dougherty to decide whether to buy the Accord I was leasing my 2nd lease from them. Now all the staff has changed. After weeks of working with Keith Dougherty to decide whether to buy the Accord I was leasing or try a used car, I went in to get the final cost of the car I was currently leasing and now turning back in. I had been asked multiple times to turn my valued and desired 2007 Honda Accord with less than 35K miles on. I told Keith that I wanted 24 hours to think about it. As much as I loved my car, the dealership would not work with us at all on the price and it was out of my budget. As I was leaving the lot, Keith said oh I have a great car you can look at -- a 2003 Saturn Vue with 120K miles on it. Over and over I was assured how wonderful of an inspection was done at Airport Honda, despite the fact the car didn't even have a sticker. In total I spent 5 hours at the dealership driving the car, looking at it, trying to find online information, speaking to sales managers, finance managers -- ALL of them assured me they could get an extended warranty on it, that we had 30 days if we had anything major happen to it, etc. I signed papers applying for a loan and put a down payment on it, with the expectation of having it checked out as well as finding out warranty conditions. The next day I spent 3 hours waiting for it to be detailed and took it to our mechanic who told me the transmission was 100% shot and to take the car back. This was 3 days ago and now the General Manager, Chris Denny, will not even return my phone calls. No loaner car has been offered as this car and my down payment sit on their lot. It was 100% a faulty car and had not even been through an inspection, because their service dept also found the transmission problems when we took the car back after seeing our mechanic. Today the story is they will see about fixing it. I have offered several resolutions: fix the car with a brand new transmission, find another car in my budget, allow me to buy the leased car they joyously took back, or just refund my down payment. After days and days of stone walling, being lied to, and told multiple things by multiple employees, I have lost all faith and confidence in this dealership. Not only this, I had been dealing with Keith for weeks, as previously stated, and repeatedly and clearly expressed my concerns over buying a used car that may have problems. Go somewhere else. More
