Advantage tried to take advantage of me I leased two Chevy Cruze's from Advantage Chevrolet, the 2014 Cruze Ls had 6 months left on the lease term and on the other , 2014 Cruze LT, 15 months I leased two Chevy Cruze's from Advantage Chevrolet, the 2014 Cruze Ls had 6 months left on the lease term and on the other , 2014 Cruze LT, 15 months. It was service time and I had both vehicles serviced, at the time of dropping the LS I was asked if I would be interested in the upgrade program, I agreed and talked to a sales man, he said there were some specials on the 2017 Cruze, Equinox and Trax, so I was only interested in the Cruze and Trax, after finding a Cruze and a Trax they gave me a monthly payment for the 2017 Cruze LT and ending my current lease on the 2014 Cruze LS , the monthly payment was almost twice of my current payment, which I said it was ridiculous, supposedly my current Cruze was going to be a wash as I owed very little but the new payment was based on $0 due at signing, so I said no, after a 30 minute negotiation the manager said the best they could do was $253 a month and I said no, he asked me how much was the best I could do and I said 215 a month, so he left and came back and said $253 was the lowest they could do, so I left and went home. Once at home I called Castle Chevrolet which is closer to my house and went there to see if they had a better deal, so I checked fora Trax LT AWD and a Cruze LT, the sales person took my info and came back with an monthly payment to lease the Trax for $299 to which I said no, after 10 minutes negotiating they said they will do for $249 a month so I told them the best I would do is $240 and this was accepted and now I am driving my 2017 Trax LT AWD and got a $100 coupon certificate to buy accessories. I am so glad with Castle because it is closer to home, they offer free oil and filter change for life and also free tires for life, free loaner, and much more. I am sure that Advantage Chevrolet would have probably asked $240 for the same vehicle. My next purchase or lease will be at Castle, they have earned my business and Advantage Chevrolet lost my business, no loyalty...what a shame. I won't recommend Advantage Chevrolet anymore. More

Poor customer service I purchased a used 2016 checy cruze for my daughter on January 23, 2017. There was only one key so Brad, the salesman said he would get and send(mail) another key. The other key came in on January 27th. I contacted Brad on February 8 to see if he sent the key. He told me his was waiting for the gas card and asked me if I wanted him to send the key by itself and I said yes. My daughter lost her other key on February 10th. I contacted Brad to see if he sent the spare key and he said no. I picked up the spare key from the dealer on February 14. Since my daughter lost the other key the Chevy dealer by us is charging 140 to reprogram the key. I called Brad and he said there is nothing Chevy of Hodgkins will do. I told him if he would have mailed the key when he received it on the 27 of January my daughter would have been able to program the new key. He told me he was waiting for the gas card to come in and that is why he didn't send it. I find it hard to believe that they are out of gas cards for more than a week. I had to go back and re-sign warranty paperwork that was incorrectly filled out by the salesperson on the 23 of January and they told me they would give me a gas card because I had to come back in and sign- i went back in to sign on January 26 - so they have been out of gas cards since January 26. I have not received a gas car nor do I expect to. If Brad would have sent the key on the 27 of January my daughter would not have to pay $140 to program a key. Very poor customer service. More

When treat Chris Kranjiak excels in everything, from knowledge to excellent customer service. Knows his customers and assists in every way possible. When treated like family, what more can one ask for. Appointment to purchase leased vehicle. All went splendid. Dennis Reilly is amazing processing all the documents. Makes everything simple and easy and ensures you understand as well as pleased prior to leaving his office. Valerie Tromiczak keeps me connected with service and my contacts. When I followed up on regular maintenance with a call, I mentioned to her I would like to speak with Chris. Even though he was out of the office, I was assured a message would be sent to him. I have not had one unpleasant experience at Advantage Chevrolet. This was not my first visit and I anticipate it will not be my last. Great Team! Keep it up! More

Legal False Advertising I began a search for a 2016 Black Colorado Diesel 4wd from Kansas. I was willing to shop at dealerships 500+ miles away. I began working with a Kans I began a search for a 2016 Black Colorado Diesel 4wd from Kansas. I was willing to shop at dealerships 500+ miles away. I began working with a Kansas City dealership (Jim Falk Chevrolet) who was absolutely AMAZING! They had what I was looking for in a price range close to what I was willing to pay. Brandon, my salesman, bent over backwards to help. (side note: Brandon was promoted shortly after my dealings with him because he was so amazing with his customers). Unfortunately for me, I came across a Midnight Edition version of the truck I wanted that I fell completely in love with. It was at Advantage Chevrolet of Hodgkins, IL. The price was a little out of my range, so I threw them an offer and got a response that they couldn't go that low. I set an internet Price Watch to let me know if they dropped their price. On Saturday, October 29th, I received a notification that the price on the Midnight Edition had dropped to $34,872, which was just $872 over my offer. On Sunday, I checked Cars.com and Autotrader.com to see if the price drop was reflected there, which it was. There were NO DISCLAIMERS other than all rebates and incentives go to the dealership. On Monday (morning), October 31st, I called Advantage Chevrolet of Hodgkins to confirm the Midnight Edition Colorado was still available for $34,872. It was, so I reiterated my original offer of $34,000 and informed them I was driving to Bank of America to get approval on that vehicle. The person I talked to said she would take my offer to the sales manager, but it should be no problem. Financing was no problem and Bank of America even has an agreement with this dealership that the letter of approval was the same as a check to purchase this vehicle. I even took the consideration to approve the loan for the full asking price of $35,000 on the off chance my offer was rejected. I left the bank and called the dealership from the parking lot to inform them the vehicle was sold (and to ask if they would take my offer). A sales manager took the call and informed me that "because I was from Kansas, they would have to raise the price $2,000 over their advertised price." Supposedly, the price listed on Cars.com and Autotrader.com AND their own sister-dealership's (Advantage Chevrolet of Bolingbrook) was ONLY available to local residents. There was nothing on any of those listings stating that. There was no negotiation at that point, so I called the sister-dealership in Bolingbrook to talk to a nice sales manager who informed me that "the dealerships are owned by the same person, BUT the connection absolutely stops there." The management was clearly different and there was nothing he could do. The Hodgkins dealership had even posted the lower price on the Bolingbrook dealership's site, but not on their own. Absolutely do not give Advantage Chevrolet of Hodgkins your business. The conclusion to my truck hunt was that I called Jim Falk back to find out that the dealership had COMPLETELY sold out of all of their 2016 Colorados (mine included). This is what a good, honest dealership does. I ended up going to Jeff Belzer's Chevrolet in Minnesota. Read my very positive review of this dealership and please buy the plane ticket to visit them if you are in the market for a new Chevrolet (or Dodge). More
