Rusty was knowledgeable about the vehicle selection, and he demonstrated great acts of curtesy by making sure that I was satisfied with the wash/detail of the vehicle that I ultimately ended up purchasing. The Carfax, Recent emissions, and all other requested documents were provided. The car that I purchased seemed to have an owner's manual missing. Once informed, the dealer overnighted an Owner's Manual to me the same day. I thought that was pretty cool. Nice used luxury inventory. More

It's a used car, it's not a new car, so I didn't have new car expectations. I used to work as a classic car inspector and I have seen a lot over the years. What I haven't seen as much of is customers doing their own research and mechanical due diligence for the inspection of their prospective used "rolling manslaughter machine", aka "car", and I have too often found used car customers to blame the delealership for their naive expectations or lack of due diligence. Now this doesn't mean that some (or many) used car dealers won't sell you snake oil for $$$, but that will be treated under the next aspect. My wife and I were in the specific market for a 6 year out of production vehicle, a G8, to replace her car after someone hit it. You have two options there. Buy a garage queen for 25-35 grand (which have their own list of problems from sitting), or buy used for 10-20 and accept the best you can find. I inspected others and was not satisfied until I came across an extremely high mileage one at ARMotorsports. Was very skeptical and hated the color (wife loved it) but went and did a due diligence inspection on this car with 190k miles anyway. Found the power mirrors didn't work, small oil leak (not seepage) out the rear main, tires worn to the wear bars on all corners, and a lot of road rash from rocks on the front. Yet even with the "bad", there is a lot to be learned: the almost bald tires were worn perfectly front and rear and were a $1500 set of michelins. This tells me that even though the strut mount bushing were worn, the suspension system and alignment are in excellent condition, and maintained, and that the pervious owner didn't skimp when it came time for regular service. Plus I would rather buy good tires I like, with a tread life mileage and lifetime service warranty from my shop for $1000, than have the dealer put $600 of new cheap crap on them and pay more for it in the long term because it was built into the price, and I have to replace the tires with something better for the rolling manslaughter machine anyway. I have found these cars with half this mileage with more of an oil leak and the road rash indicated the car had not been painted any time recently ( so the guy who got rid of it didn't do so because of an off the books accident). The paint was in impressive condition minus the rash, interior looked almost new (car looked like it had 30k miles on it, if it weren't for the rock rash. Every thing else mechanically worked, could tell new plugs, wires etc, new steering rack, etc. car was a great car. With the high mileage I do have an awareness of the lifter failure problem that WILL arise eventually at a unknown future date because of GMs Displacement on Demand, and I expect the transmission to need rebuilding within the next 100k miles too, but even G8s with a third of this ones mileage can run into these issues (I could pay a lot more for lower mileage-and many have-G8 and still have to pay 1500-2000each to rebuild the top end or transmission), especially when many G8s are driven like the beast they are. So all in all, knowing used cars can and do have problems, it was a sweet deal listed at 1.5k under clean retail, because the car was in excellent condition and was far better than many cars priced 5-7 grand more with half the mileage!!!! We put new tires and windshield wipers on it, and proceeded to put 4,000 miles on it in the first two weeks, with our two kids in the car and couldn't be happier because we did what everyone does with a washer and dryer purchase, or when they want to get married (Ie. FIND OUT WHAT THEY ARE GETTING INTO FOR BETTER OR WORSE!!). The second aspect, the dealer: our salesman Stanley was not hard and fast, and not really knowledgeable about a lot of specifics, but he wasn't a car enthusiast or BSer either. If you don't know, not talking like you do is a sign of honesty. We did a road inspection of vehicle and it drove as tight and smooth as new Cadillac ATS turbos or Taurus's or Buick Lacrosses we had driven recently. But I would never buy I car I couldn't put on a lift, and here was a problem: they originally didn't want to loan the car to be taken to my race car mechanics shop (30miles away) even if I accepted full liability for it through USAA, BUT they wouldn't let me be under their lift for insurance reasons. Well the sales manager Dean got over the second part and let me inspect the car because I won't buy a car till I know what I'm buying, or until I get a second opinion (and I somewhat understand their hesitancy, though that's what my car insurance and loaner agreements are for!). I confirmed a minor oil leak and other wise excellent undercarriage (unlike many bad dealers, they didn't try to clean off the underside to hide even normal residue, and other than the normal road and dust residue, I could see that otherwise it looked as clean as my 2 year old truck! Negotiations were simple: I haggled to help cover some of the cost of the tires, but I knew they had a really good car for a really good listed price, so I was okay to with not trying to get it for free... Dean seemed confident about the condition of the vehicle. After the purchase, I took the car to the mechanic and he told me the car was in overall good condition, except for a few minor things that are normal to expect in a 2004 car. Overall, satisfied with my experience! More
Darwin got me into my perfect car I had a phenomenal experience at AR. I called Saturday morning and spoke with Darwin. He immediately put me at ease; I felt no pressure at all. My hus I had a phenomenal experience at AR. I called Saturday morning and spoke with Darwin. He immediately put me at ease; I felt no pressure at all. My husband and I went to see the car and I loved that Darwin gave us our space as we combed it over. I am so impressed by the detailing they did, inside in out--they clearly take pride in the vehicles they sell. After the test drive, I was sold. And the price--a good deal, and their no haggle policy makes it easy. I would definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and family. More

Because I have already looked online(recommended) I knew what I was looking for but Darwin took the time to walk the lot and showed me the car I wanted and other options. I had some concerns about the car and he took care of them right away. The jury is still out on if I got an awesome deal or a nice facelift. Never the less, if I didn't talk to Darwin and my concerns wasn't handled, I would have went to my other option at a different dealer across town. BTW, Darwin is not an option to pick from but since it wouldn't let my submit without picking one of the four listed I flipped a coin and choose Stan. I hadn't heard good thing about 2 of the four options listed but I still visited the lot because I liked the car I saw online. More

Dealer was NOT honest about vehicle mechanical issues I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealer. They do not allow pre-purchase inspections off site and lied about an oil leak that I noticed while I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealer. They do not allow pre-purchase inspections off site and lied about an oil leak that I noticed while I was there. They told me that they just did the repair (probable sprayed silicone) and that they just needed to clean up the oil. Once I drove the car home after a few days I noticed the oil leaking in my garage. Now I have to replace the oil filter housing gasket on the vehicle. If you decide to buy here be sure to bring your mechanic to do the inspection on-site. The vehicles are also priced above market value according to the mileage. The only positive for me was that the car was clean and well kept, but do not trust their salesmen or mechanics. They will tell you anything to get a sale and to keep from having to drop the price on the car. Don't even bother talking to the owner Arash (AR). In talking to him you will see where the arrogance of the company comes from. More
