Scam. Didn't change my oil at an oil change appt. Bought a new vehicle from 802 Toyota earlier this year. I had heard of this dealership being a scam type dealership when it comes to oil changes so I marked the cap on the truck to see if it moved after the service to ensure that the oil was changed. I waited for 2 hours past my appointment time and the oil filter and cap weren't even touched, even though I got a tag in my vehicle stating I got service... I brought it to the attention of one of the employees and they didn't believe me and said that they don't always change the oil on this type of vehicle until 7500 miles... So why even let me bring it in? They then brought out the young man who "preformed" the service blaming this on him. It was not at fault by him, it is the dealership. Be aware when you bring your vehicle in for free service with a new vehicle. Especially if you don't know much about cars and are trusting to the dealership. I will never be purchasing a vehicle from 802 Toyota ever again. Very shady service. I'm lucky someone warned me and I had proof that they didn't touch my vehicle. I do not recommend this dealer to anyone!! (I do not remember the name of the associate, it made me chose one, it may not have been Phil in Service!!!) More

They asked for a large down payment for the banks to consider financing us. Never got to speak with the finance person and our sales guy ignored us and moved on to other clients before finishing with us. Went to another Toyota dealership for the exact same car and within two hours was approved and left with the car and a warrenty. More

For instance, don't say you're offering XX,XXX for my trade-in and then finance part of that amount on the back-end and increase the cost of the new car. In what upside-down world does it make sense to say that "I'm offering you this for your car ... but oh wait, you have to pay me back for part of that"? Straight up numbers would save time for both you and your potential customers. Also, I would greatly advice against stating things in certain terms when in fact you're not certain. More

Very poor service department I brought my vehicle in for a state inspection and was told I needed over $1200 in work that I KNOW doesn't need to be done. Apparently 802 Toyota has I brought my vehicle in for a state inspection and was told I needed over $1200 in work that I KNOW doesn't need to be done. Apparently 802 Toyota has been telling many people to replace the same part and when brought to an honest mechanic for a second opinion they will tell you your vehicle is just fine. Don't bring your car here unless you want to spend excessive amounts of money on parts that don't need replacing. More

His patience, familiarity with the Tacoma’s performance and technical specifications, as well as his ability to ‘stand back’ while my wife and I processed the information, and arrived at our decision to buy—all helped cement the deal for us. The sales manager, Doug Rice, also made it a point to come speak with us, and made the trade in and purchase price even more attractive. All of the staff that we encountered were welcoming, warm, and made you feel that you and your business were important to them. Once we decided to buy, shook hands, and completed the loan application the ball was in motion, and we drove out of the showroom within 1.5 hours with a full tan k of gas, and applied truck body paint protection.
