Brought truck in for suspected manufacturer paint defect (Warranty). Manager looked at issue for 45 seconds in a limited light bay and declared it looked to be repainted. Said he had to get approval from GM (Warranty). Manager looked at issue for 45 seconds in a limited light bay and declared it looked to be repainted. Said he had to get approval from GM to go further. Naturally, GM denied claim with this opinion. Took to another dealers paint shop for evaluation and they assessed it much more thoroughly with paint depth gauges and close (proper) inspection and declared it to be an original manufacturer defect, and now awaiting resolution. Castle Chevrolet North gets an “F” from this customer. More
