Here's how their game is played. They mass advertise cars at thousands of dollars less than their competitors, but they'll add $2000-3000 onto that price for add-ons the dealership has supposedly made to the car (new or used) after they got it (and since they've already made those changes to the cars, you'd think if their plan was anything other than to deceive the public they'd be advertising the prices of those cars at the amount they are actually going to charge, right)?
Their goal is to keep you there as long as possible, filling out endless paperwork, talking with different sales people, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting. They talk up the lifetime warranty, free car washes, scratch and window repair, yada yada, but what they won't talk is the actual price of the car. Once you've been there several hours and can finally get them to talk numbers, they try to keep the numbers in front of you for as little time as possible and make it as confusing as possible with all of their either-or options.
"Oh, you want the lowest price?", they'll say, then you need to lease the car at 7.6% interest and then have a big buyout payment at the end. "Oh, you want 0% interest?", they'll say, then you need to buy the car at above MSRP value. "Oh, you want to do your own financing?", they'll say, then you'll need to pay a higher price for the car (several thousand dollars higher). They'll dance around your questions and come back with basically the same offer (which is either this or that or that, but never an option that gives the best price with the best financing or even a good price with an option for you to find the best financing). They only ever want to talk to you in "Your payment will be this" terms, and they are flat out deceptive in their practices IMO. They will lie to you if necessary, and this isn't a matter of one or two bad sales people...this is their company philosophy and they play the same game at both their new and used car dealerships.
Why did I buy a car from them, you ask? I was in a bind and in a hurry. I had a kid with a job and no transportation who had fallen in love with a VW. My daughter gave a lovely testimonial and 5 star rating at the end of the ordeal (required for her to get the lifetime warranty and car washes BTW), and she loves her car. I walked away knowing I'd given a crooked company my money and regretted every minute of the time I'd spent there. My suggestion is to never walk into one of their dealerships.

Denise Taylor this is well written, and we understand that you being in the software business, and watching you post from site to site that you are not looking to make anything right just to harm the employees and families of Strong VW. We would love to refund you all your money because we also feel it was a mistake to enter this relationship with you. We have reached out to you to try and work out these concerns however that is not what you are looking for. So, let’s get to the truth, the vehicle we advertised we offered to you for the exact price everyone sees. It is still the same price and is still posted on the wall in the middle of our showroom, that exact car for that exact price. It is 100% inaccurate to say it was not offered to you for that price, we have documentation showing that we offered you that price as well as all advertisements.
The price and the out the door number on every new and used vehicle is posted on the wall in the middle of the showroom. This matches exactly what you were presented with, remember that you brought your trade in vehicle to us on the flatbed trailer. Speaking with Bill on the new car side and James on the used car side they both state that you had numbers within 20 minutes of returning from the test drive on the new and used departments. Neither of them understand what your stating. It just does not make sense. We know you are mad but when we spoke with James, he had no idea you harbored these horrible feelings and was floored that you were so unhappy. Our goal is NOT to tie up the customers time for an extended length of time because that also ties up the employees reducing their productivity.
It is true that the manufacturer gives you less rebate today if you take the savings in interest over 5 years. That is why when you go onto ALL new car dealers websites, including ALL manufactures that they state “The advertised price is not available for special rates or not in combination” because the manufacture won’t give you as much rebate today if they are saving it for you in interest over the term. Yes, VW is trying to build brand loyalty and does offer more money to the customer to lease versus zero percent. Remember most leases are two to three years as opposed to longer periods for purchases thereby returning the customer to the market sooner rather than later. In conjunction with a VW lease you can pay them off at any time just like cash. In fact, Billy told you that he has had many cash buyers do this to save in many cases thousands from VW. Instead of 1 large check you write 4 smaller checks in 4 months as Billy explained. We are sorry however we do not control the money VW gives the dealership. We are confused as we did offer you all the different incentives that VW has to offer their customers, and now you state we should hide this information because its “confusing”. Not sure how allowing our guests to make an educated decision by providing all the incentives VW has to offer and then allowing the consumer to decide is “confusing” or “dancing around questions”. We showed you the out the door number and everything that will be printed in finance within 20 minutes and yes there are payments BUT all fees spelled out and it did match to the penny in finance. To say we only provided payments and pushed payments versus a total is just not true. We have the sheet you looked at in the first 20 minutes. It cannot be any more transparent than that. We understand, unfortunately not through communication, but rather you are having gone immediately to social media and sharing all of these inaccuracies, your frustrations.

I spoke with James about this and your daughter was super excited to get these benefits the same way YouTube, Tik Tok and other social media influencers would. Let us be clear we would love to refund ALL your money and NOT sell you a vehicle. We have thousands of satisfied customers both VIP and others, as well as your daughter (the Buyer) that disagree with your comments.
