We had been considering an EV purchase by the end of the year and mostly our interactions with dealers were confusing if not dishonest. "You need to lease or finance to get the $5350 rebate!" I used TrueCar to look into a reasonable price and was contacted by Zachary Rutledge at Tynan's Volkswagen in Aurora. He was very polite and not pushy, and only asked if he could have an opportunity to win my business if I found a good deal. In the end - after several others had told me my deal wasn't real, he matched - and beat it - with no objections. We went down on 12/31 to finalize the deal and I was stressed that he had baited and switched. But the deal was just as he promised. The car was ready, clean, and charged, and he took care of the inevitable minute spots here and there that only brand-new car buyers even notice. We did the paperwork just as he promised, no pressures, no changes. Wow. I did not expect this. Then we met with Tom in finance who politely led us into his office and he said something like "it looks like Zach worked out a deal with you, and you owe us [final sale price.] And that price was exactly the number I had calculated and expected. Then Tom just said "how would you like to pay?" I said "wait, no extended warranties? No paint protection? No rust guard?" "That's not how we work here. We want happy customers, so we do it the right way." So in the end *I* had to ask *him* about financing (rather than him pushing something we didn't want), we discussed prepayment penalties and loan lengths, and he actually caught a mistake I had made that would have been about $500 in the dealer's favor. Greg Alore and Scott Wilkinson are the managers there and I took my time on the way out to let them know how impressed I was and how my experience that day was the best car purchase ever. I highly recommend this long-time family-owned business. "Would buy again." Five Stars More
