Hello Ms. Chitwood, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent service visit. I do apologize for the apparent misunderstanding. Your vehicle had an open recall to update the transmission software, we discussed this on the phone and we check every vehicle for recalls when they arrive at our dealership. The technician did indeed drive your vehicle 5 miles before I drove it another 10 miles, we also discussed this during our second conversation. During both of our test drives, the vehicle accelerated normally and did not exhibit the symptoms you described in your concern. Our recommendations of items that were "critical", were due to the fact that we had no service history here at our dealer or any other Nissan dealer, indicating you may be due for maintenance. Recommendations are made based on time and mileage and when you mentioned your transmission had been serviced recently, we quickly said that you wouldn't need that done again. Another "critical" item was the brake switch. Your vehicles on board diagnostics showed a fault for the brake switch circuit. Our technician was not able to shift the vehicle out of park without using the manual shift override. You mentioned that your mechanic just replaced the brake switch a few days ago for that reason and that it was under warranty. We truly want to fix your vehicle, not charge you for repairs that don't fix it as your mechanic has done to you 2 times already. We did not charge you for any diagnosis time spent on your vehicle and urged you to bring it back if it continues to have acceleration issues as the transmission warranty extension still applies to your vehicle for a few more months. How are we the bad guy in this situation but your usual mechanic that has actually charged you for repairs that didn't fix your vehicle isn't?
