My former car had 153,000 miles on it, so purchasing a new car was in my plans for the near future. After studying the 2013 Consumer Reports Best & Worst Cars, as well as Edmunds, my choices were narrowed new car was in my plans for the near future. After studying the 2013 Consumer Reports Best & Worst Cars, as well as Edmunds, my choices were narrowed down to two SUVs. I'd researched prices on Edmunds and other sites. The mechanic who has taken care of my car for years has experiences with many local dealerships. When he recommended Valley Honda, I went to check it out. Nick Theodor quickly determined my preferences for the CR-V model I was interested in, and, after a test drive, vehicle prices were discussed. Since I'd been on websites & researched prices, Nick suggested using one of those search engines to compare the price to the Valley Honda price. They were identical, and he offered more of a discounted price, in addition to .9 % financing, plus trade-in. The trade-in price seemed quite fair, given the mileage on the car. Nick discussed the differences between the features between the CR-V LX and EX, as we viewed several models on the lot. I probably changed my mind three times, as I deliberated all of this, and wasn't sure I'd make a purchase that day. At no time did I feel "hurried" through the process, though; Nick spent about 3 hours with me during this transaction, and it's obvious he believes in the vehicles he sells. His enthusiasm and respect for the customer is obvious. He really located the perfect car with the features I wanted, rather than just a car with a lot of unwanted extras. So I bought my CR-V EX, and am pleased with the sales transaction here. In addition, Roxann Murray handled the mounds of paperwork to finalize the transaction with efficiency and friendliness. We came in to look at the Honda Odyssey. Nick was friendly and helpful from the moment he walked up to introduce himself to when we drove our new Honda off the lot. He was very friendly and patient during negotiations which is always the most stressful part. We felt comfortable through the entire process. He spent a great deal of time showing us specific features on the Odyssey which saved us hours of reading the manual. ;) He helped us personalize and program settings which was wonderful! We arrived in the afternoon on a Saturday, and the dealership closes at 6pm. We didn't end up leaving Honda until about 7:30pm when all things were said and done. Nick stayed with us that entire time and never for a second seemed put out to have to stay later than he had expected that day. Overall we had a wonderful and pleasant experience with both Valley Honda and Nick Theodor. I would recommend him to friends and family and will be back looking for him the next time we need a vehicle. More
