I knew what I wanted, and after calling 2 other dealerships and giving me the Ole come down and see us nonsense, I called Gates. I was very fortunate to get connected and hooked up with Nick Florentino who worked along side with Tom Gates and very simply understood mz situation, listened to what I requested, and worked their magic to find me a brand new truck within my means. It took a little time to complete the transaction doing everything via email, phone, txt you name it we did it. Even with a few additional requests to be added prior to pickup, they made it happen. This is exactly what I needed and to feel during a vehicle purchase. I commend the team from sales rep to management and finance coming together to make this all happen. When Shopping for a Car, Stop HERE first Came to visit my sister so we could shop for a car for her. Our first stop was Gates GMC Nissan. We did see one car that was a bit over the budget b Came to visit my sister so we could shop for a car for her. Our first stop was Gates GMC Nissan. We did see one car that was a bit over the budget but was in the running because of its history and clean presentation. Test drove great but we needed to see what else was out there. After a 300+ mile road trip around Connecticut, the available used cars AND the salesmen did not compare to the vehicle and salesman experience we had at Gates. A little over an hour away from them, we called to say we were headed back. Our arrival was going to be past closing time and the response we got was, "no problem, I'll wait". I told our salesman that we just wanted to see it and drive it again and that it was not a sold vehicle. When we arrived, he absolutely was still there, the car had been washed, pulled up and another test drive was happening. We knew this was the one. However, because Nick, our Salesman, was going to be off the following day, we waited til he was on to come back to buy. The budget was super tight and just like any used car buyer, we wanted it to be as close to new in appearance. Nick worked hard with the detail crew for us and was able to approve an order on touch up paint for the stone chips on the car. The drivers side mirror had a small crack in the trim piece. So yes, it wasnt how we wanted it to be. Nick spoke with service and they quoted an astronomical price to buy a replacement mirror assembly. I looked on Amazon and found exactly what was needed for a tenth of the price. As soon as it comes the service department will install it without any issues. So, long story short, SO HAPPY, Nick is amazing and Gates GMC Nissan is a friendly place to buy your next car, new or used... Give them a test drive!! Ask for Nick. Doubt you will regret it. More
