Extremely disappointing and misleading experience I went to purchase a 2024 Mazda CX-5 on Saturday, November 8, expecting a car within my $20,000 budget. The vehicle was advertised at $24,500, but duri went to purchase a 2024 Mazda CX-5 on Saturday, November 8, expecting a car within my $20,000 budget. The vehicle was advertised at $24,500, but during the process, they added a “Lifetime Warranty” covering the engine, transmission, and differential, even though these were already included in the manufacturer’s warranty. I was not informed about this; it was added as extra fees on a printed paper that I signed under the promise that I would receive a full breakdown later. I was promised a monthly payment of $500, pending bank approval. However, when the financing process was finalized, they added multiple extended warranties and fees I did not request, raising the financed amount to over $42,000—almost double the advertised price—and the monthly payment to $630. The paperwork was rushed and confusing after more than five hours of waiting, making it impossible to fully review and understand the contract before signing. When I tried to pay the down payment, their terminal was not working, and they assumed it was an issue with my debit card. I had to pay with a credit card instead, and I was charged an additional fee for using the credit card, even though the problem was not my fault. To date, the financing has not yet been processed, and I have visited three consecutive days requesting the cancellation of these unnecessary warranties. I was told I must wait up to two weeks until the loan becomes active, which feels extremely unfair and unclear. Additionally, the car was delivered in poor condition: it was not washed, there were scratches, the license plate screws were loose, and it had very little fuel. While I take responsibility for signing the contract, the lack of transparency, pressure, and misleading information made this an extremely disappointing experience. Based on this, I cannot recommend this dealer. More
