Scammed! Untrustworthy! Purchased(October 2021) a used car for my daughter who is a freshman at Kent University. I explained to the salesman my daughters sit Untrustworthy! Purchased(October 2021) a used car for my daughter who is a freshman at Kent University. I explained to the salesman my daughters situation and that I was in Minnesota so I needed someone to trust. He said he had two daughters of his own and would take care of her. The salesman Tom said the vehicle went through a full inspection and that everything on the vehicle that need repairs was done. He listed all of the items they fixed. Bottom line...not true. Car broke down DAYS later. First time they fixed(Starter) I bought new battery cause battery was old and weak.. Then again WEEKS later(rear axel bearing). Wouldn't fix it. Took to a Firestone in Akron for repairs and a inspection and the struts are original and have failed, the intake and valve covers were leaking profusely. Firestone was HALF the cost to repair! Talked to salesman Tom, nothing he would do. The wheel bearings on both sides of the rear axel were bad and caused all the dash lights to come on. The car was a $7000 Toyota Highlander. Repairs so far total over $3000. When I visited our daughter a few MONTHS later I took the car for an oil change. Tranny lines were rusted through and leaking. I brought it to Toyota of Kent and asked to trade it back in for something else and they only would give me $500. I asked to speak to Management and they would not even talk to me. They were in the next office! More
