I came to work for O'Daniel in February 2021 because O'Daniel offers a great opportunity for advancement in a field I am passionate about. Luke & the O’Daniel Mazda team was extremely helpful. I am a single female & I was worried about car shopping & high pressure car sales. But Luke was very excellent. He listened to what I was looking for I am a single female & I was worried about car shopping & high pressure car sales. But Luke was very excellent. Luke was really great and very accommodating. He made our purchase smooth and secured. My problem is the Finance Manager, Brittany. I realized it late but I can say she deceived us into getting something we don't need. I already expressed it greatly to Luke that our concern is the tight budget. I even gathered a hard earned money of $3k to put in as downpayment to lessen our total and monthly payment. But Brittany, made us get the unnecessary warranty extension. From the original and anticipated 7 year warranty, she made us get the 10 year warranty. She made us choose among 4 choices and we chose the cheapest one which we thought is the base price that we were introduced to. I think she can easily read that we're new car buyers and are very vulnerable to any suggestions. And this change is actually worth around $3k more. In turn, our hard earned 3k downpayment was honestly useless and didn't made our total cost cheaper because Britney then added the warranty extension. She didn't clarify it clearly that the choice we got is a warranty extension. We honestly felt deceived. Anyway, we're happy with our purchase. Though I understand that they're really trying to make a sale and sell as much as they can, hopefully next time, they can make it clearer and leave room for consideration for people like me who is on a tight budget and can't afford unnecessary additional expense. The entire staff at ODaniel Automart/Mazda are super nice. When shopping for a new car, the sales team (Luke and Romario) answered all our questions and concerns, allowed us time to compare the differe nice. When shopping for a new car, the sales team (Luke and Romario) answered all our questions and concerns, allowed us time to compare the different models, and no pressure on making a sale. The sales manager, Sam, is a wonderful person to talk to and is willing to listen to your concerns and questions. Brittany made the financing process easy and within a few minutes, all documentation was signed and we were on our way with the new car. Its obvious the entire ODaniel team are professional and courteous. The only main concern is in regards to an accessory (power rear liftgate) was to be included with the car. The print out given to us stated this feature was a part of the package. The power liftgate was one of the main selling points of the car since my wife has mobility issues with her arms and back. To our surprise, the car arrived and without the power rear liftgate. I looked over the window sticker from the glove box and it stated a discount given of -$160. We went back to the dealership and spoke with Sam (Sales Manager) and expressed our concerns. Sam explained to us that there is an issue with not having access to a computer chip during manufacturing of the car. Sam took the time to listen to our complaint, did some research, spoke with his technicians, and approached us with an alternative solution. Sam said that there is an aftermarket power liftgate available for the car and the technicians are willing to install this feature. Wife and I agreed to go this route despite the extra cost to us. Does not seem fair to get only $160 discount off the sale of the car (missing the feature of power rear liftgate) when the aftermarket price is $700. Despite the additional cost, I was happy to know we had a plan in place to correct this situation. I suggested to Sam that he may want to inform his potential buyers that this feature may not be available due to the chip shortage as to avoid any misleading future sales. Sam listened to my suggestion and agreed. Overall, the experience at ODaniel Automart/Mazda was good. We love our new car and looking forward to many years of enjoyment.
