I like a service dept that listens to the problem, allows discussion, and has a "can do" attitude instead of rushing, half-listening, barely tolerant, I'm too busy sense. Had the Sportage less than a month when the air flap unit failed and had to be ordered. Took right at 3 weeks to receive replacement, never was updated during that period on status or reason for delay until I called. Then miraculously the part was available the next day and replaced shortly thereafter. Next I complained about loud blinker signals and loud banging of windshield wiper arms. Service response: "Those are factory sets and can't be changed". I then contacted Laurie, my saleslady, for assistance. She listened to my concerns and we tested a couple of new Sportages on the lot and their wiper blade noise was much quieter. Lori went to the Svc dept and only then did they agree to try a fix. When I received the car back the noise was dramatically reduced to an acceptable level. WHAT HAPPENED? Thank you Laurie! And shame on the Svc Dept for not addressing the customer's complaint first. Finance office showed us a comprehensive sheet that explained in detail items covered under Gold, Platinum and Platinum Plus. We bought the 10 year platinum plus. Now however, the only information that can and has been provided to us is in your legal terms and NOT customer friendly. I've tried to get more simplified detail, but now no one there seems to be able to provide this. I don't think this is fair. More
