Trisha, I apologize for your experience. Unfortunately, we have no control over the timing of updates from Mercedes-Benz on vehicles they are building and sending to us. Hopefully, with the chip shortage going away things will get better. Concerning your trade, we called 3 Jeep dealers, and were told the car had a wholesale value of $39,000. If you found a dealer that would pay more it is truly unfortunate that you didn't give us that information. We would have sold the Jeep to them at that price, and saved you sales tax on your purchase. Concerning tires, the salesperson told you about tire packages we had a few months before your vehicle came in. You didn't know if you wanted to buy them then, and told the salesperson you found a tire package for less money than the package we offered you. The day before picking up, you told the salesperson you would like to buy a set from us. Unfortunately, by that time, we had sold out of the tire packages we had, and this is why he recommended for you to buy before your vehicle came in. We discussed my trade 4 days before I picked up the car. The used car manager and the General Manager knew we were insulted by the low offer. I had to call and drive around to get pricing on my own because I knew Sears was being unfair. At the end of the day we should’ve been able to come to an agreement that worked for both of us. A customer shouldn’t have to jump thru these hoops when trading a vehicle. Did you really call 3 dealerships? Because I found three (including cars.com offer) dealerships offering me a lot more without even trading. I did tell the sales person I was offered more money.from another dealer. He didn’t mention anything about Sears buying it for that price so I could save on the taxes. Paying for tabs on the trade AND the new car is absurd. The wheels and tires were on back order. The aftermarket were priced way higher than other places. They also needed to be ordered in advance. If the factory wheels weren’t back ordered I would’ve paid the premium price but not over priced aftermarket. The sales person was responsive and answered my questions so I could get them from a place with better prices. I was expecting better and fair service from Sears. I’m not the type to leave reviews but this time I felt it was my obligation. I stand behind my review.
