This was by far the easiest car buying experience ever! I worked directly with salesman,Jim Steele, over the phone to talk through and negotiate the best deal on a new Ford Explorer xx. It was just casual I worked directly with salesman,Jim Steele, over the phone to talk through and negotiate the best deal on a new Ford Explorer xx. It was just casual no pressure/low pressure. Once the test drive was done-the wife and I were in and out! Also, Taylor Ford went above and beyond to beat a deal composed by my local Ford Dealership. And just like that, I am now a Taylor Ford customer for life! Again, many thanks to all the staff and management at Taylor Ford of Manteno! More

My overall experience was satisfactory at best. Driving on the lot after doing some online research and talking with a friend at a local ford dealer. I was not greeted by a salesperson rather I had to go inside after looking around the lot for several minutes to find the truck I had been looking at had sold. The salesperson that I had found in the showroom then let me know if other vehicles that were similar on the lot. I test drove two of them leaning towards one more than the other. After returning I had told the salesperson that I had been looking and wanted to get an offer on my trade in. I had let him know I already was given a strong offer to let the sales manager know that and give their best offer. After being $5,000 dollars less than two other offers from local dealerships I let the salesperson know how far we were apart and he thought they would not be able to meet this after but would try. The sales manager then tried backpedaling and saying that he did not have the information right and then matched my previous offers. I then asked for a sales sheet so that I could see all the numbers on paper. There was a protection package that was an additional $2500.00 that I was told was already on the vehicle that I was responsible for paying for and that this could not be removed but lowered. After going back and fourth the charged had been dropped. I told the salesperson that I needed to talk with my spouse as they were not able to come with but we are local so I would reach back out to let them know what we were thinking. I texted the salesperson through some CRM platform and let him know I was still interested but wanted to think it over the weekend. They let me know that due to the holiday that the dealer was closed Monday but back open on Tuesday from 9-5. Later that weekend (Sunday) I reached out again through text on the CRM saying I wanted to move forward with the purchase but I asked for an allowance or a bed liner to protect my investment. I never heard back from this sales person again… I had to call into the dealership and thankfully I took a picture of the numbers sheet and the stock number of the unit because I was starting over. The first young lady I talked to said she could help me and was able to pull up the sales sheet. I sent the text that I had originally sent and she said that my salesperson should had been there but would be in later. I told her the allowance I was requesting she said that this had to be run by the sales manager and the declined. Really not biding on a deal for $500.00? I no longer wanted to go back and fourth I reluctantly agreed to not get the liner and then was sent a credit application by text vs email as I requested. Once that was filled out and submitted I had to reach back out two other times to see what else needs to be done to speed up the buying process before I had gone to the dealership. I was then passed to het again another salesperson other than the two that I had worked with already to finish the deal. The last thing that I asked was to get temp plates due to me wanting vanity plates on my new purchase. I get off work and finally get to the dealer and was created buy the third sale person that was closing the deal. My wife had not made it in yet due to work so he took my keys for my trade gave me my owners manual and then he had walked me through the ford pass app and got that set up on my phone and synced with my phone. Than I had to wait he said that he would be finishing the deal helping out the original sales person that said he would be in on this day at 9:00 am. The third salesperson then pulled my new vehicle around after a quick wash job done by the porters leaving water spots and steaks running down the truck. Someone had known about the purchase by 9:30 am why was there not more detail to the cleanliness of my $55k purchase? Then I saw the truck was already plated, I explained that I wanted vanity plates. Overall not much attention to detail or customer servic More

I’m undecided. I am trying to return a car I just bought so I can upgrade and I’m not sure I can get a fair deal. I’m going to try. I am trying to return a car I just bought so I can upgrade and I’m not sure I can get a fair deal. I’m going to try. More
