Misleading sale, shoddy service, no refund When we recently purchased our Highlander we opted for the convenience of the remote start feature; it was high-priced at $500, but we thought it was When we recently purchased our Highlander we opted for the convenience of the remote start feature; it was high-priced at $500, but we thought it was worth it for a Toyota product (we were not told that it wasn't an OEM product). We immediately began experiencing problems with it, as the vehicle would start even with our fobs back home in a drawer. Worse yet, when that happened we were unable to unlock the vehicle to get back in to turn it off or return home. The inconvenience far outweighed the convenience of the remote start. On multiple occasions we informed DelToyota of the problem via phone and email before they finally grudgingly agreed to remove the remote start and reimburse us. It has been over 2 weeks since the work was done and we still have not received our refund! NOTE: In the interest of fair play I phoned DelToyota in an attempt to resolve the issue before submitting this review. I was told that our salesman Rizk was not available and was transferred to Manager Patrick Donlon. Mr. Donlon said he would look into it and get back to me. It's been over an hour and still no call back... (DelToyota standard operating procedure--they will happily sell you a car and then they are done.) More
