The deal was easy. What came after was not. I leased a car to add to the family. A month later, and I still have no plates. I reach out to the Secretary of State office What came after was not. I leased a car to add to the family. A month later, and I still have no plates. I reach out to the Secretary of State office, and no one bothered to submit the registration or taxes. Sure smells like fraud. I talk to the dealer, and they claim I was missing part of my paperwork. Meanwhile, I've already made my next month's lease payment so the bank obviously has no issue. They want more documents, weren't going to even reach out to let me know, and we're holding all my taxes, title, and registration money hostage. I reached out to the bank handling the lease, and they confirmed it was fraud and are sending me their own power of attorney to register my vehicle without the dealer. I'm also going to have the bank be the middle man and they can withhold what I've already paid from their payment to this scammer. Beware More
