I’m sorry that you had a bad experience here but let me explain a bit about a Porsche Dealer Service vs an independent. A Porsche dealer uses only the Porsche parts, equipment, certified techs, etc.. whereas an independent service facility does not. We must follow the Porsche guidelines to maintain the longevity of the car. No one knows more about Porsche cars than the people who make them and they tell us how to service them, not independents. If you choose to have your car taken to an independent that’s your choice but we can’t reset the service light without doing the service ourselves. It would be like lying, saying we are responsible for the work done when we are not.
