Terrible buying experience Had worked out a mutually agreed upon deal online with Nick over the course of a few days and several emails. Came in to close, was handed off to Garrett (seems to be their normal way of operating from my experiences with this dealership), and pretty much immediately advised they cannot make the deal work and it was impossible. He then spent the next half hour backtracking and doing whatever he could to convince me they wouldn't honor the deal, it wasn't their fault, and that they couldn't do anything close. I mostly held firm and after another hour of pushing back and forth with Garrett and his manager Grant, we were stuck and they refused to meet my price -which was higher than the prior email agreed upon deal. Exceedingly frustrated and hungry, left and went home. No less than 5 minutes at home, Garrett called saying they can make my last price work (still more than email agreement) if I rushed back and did it that night. Against my better reasoning and frustration, I went back in and spent until midnight filling out the paperwork. Looking back, I regret going back in on their terms after they renegged on their email deal and then attempted to hardball me back to a crummy deal. I absolutely love the car itself, but will always feel poorly towards the sales interaction and regret not stepping back to talk further with Maita or Bay dealers. I just hope the car treats me better than Elk Grove Mazda's sales team. More
