I was pleasantly surprised at the car buying process through McGrath Honda. Pete M. was an incredibly knowledgeable salesman that we will be coming back to in the future. Communication was clear from through McGrath Honda. Pete M. was an incredibly knowledgeable salesman that we will be coming back to in the future. Communication was clear from start to finish and every question was completely answered. We did not plan on making a trade initially, but due to the ease of the process and the value of the trade-in offer, we could not refuse. We are thrilled with our 2024 Accord and we will be back! Despite the somewhat prolonged buying process, my car buying experience at this dealership was remarkably seamless. The team's transparency instilled trust from the start, and Ed Payne, an exceptional sa buying experience at this dealership was remarkably seamless. The team's transparency instilled trust from the start, and Ed Payne, an exceptional salesperson, went above and beyond to assist me, promptly addressing all my questions and concerns. I also had the pleasure of working with Frank in the Finance Dept who worked as quickly as possible to help with the paperwork as we closed the deal. More

Beware from Yo-Yo Loans & Spot Delivery Ploys! !! Please don’t make the same mistake my family and I made. Do NOT walk out of here without a loan approval, not a pre approval. They will try to s !! Please don’t make the same mistake my family and I made. Do NOT walk out of here without a loan approval, not a pre approval. They will try to scam you by doing the whole yo-yo loan, and spot delivery scheme. Then when you try to defend yourself, they try to talk you down and belittle you. Two weeks after buying our car, on a Saturday night, our salesman, Big Mac, called us. He told my husband that there’s an issue with a missing document and we needed to come in to resign the contract. He told us to come in on Sunday, when usually dealers are closed. My husband said he couldn’t, as he’s super busy with work. A couple days later, my husband called the dealer to get more information, and try to make our first payment. He spoke with George in the financial department, who lied and said that he “thought” he called us (which he didn’t). He further informed my husband that the contract needs to be resigned due to the loan approval not going through. He told us we need to come in and sign a new contract with higher interest rates. They tried to play it off that it’s all they could achieve with my husband’s credit, and it’s not “that big of a change.” He said it’s not the car dealers fault our credit is what it is. That they knew if they didn’t let us take the car with the original interest rates in the contract, they would’ve lost our sale. When we said we wouldn’t be altering the original contract, they told us to return the car today. It was 6pm already and we have 3 young kids. George proceeded to look up our address to try and send someone to pick it up. My husband told them he can bring it back after tomorrow. At this point, I don’t even want the car anymore due to the negative experience thus far. We put down a large down payment (15K), and spent manyyy hours closing the original deal with them. We were told we were approved for the payment and interest rate we could afford and agreed upon. My husband even went in the following day after buying the car to finalize the rest of the paperwork and down payment. Not ONCE was the possibility of this just being a pre-approval mentioned before signing the papers and driving away. Had that been the case, we wouldn’t have left the lot. From what I’ve been informed, that’s illegal on their part. They were supposed to clearly state to us it is a “Spot Delivery”. In addition to this nasty ploy, while on the phone, George started to intentionally pronounce my husband’s name wrong, and talk to him with a nonchalant attitude. It is funny (and disgusting) how they were nice and accommodating when they were trying to close the deal; they could pronounce his name correctly then. At the end of the conversation, George told my husband he would call back shortly with more information on a solution, and he never did. My husband called back only to be answered by a voicemail. This is ridiculous. Thankfully this isn’t our first car purchase, so we know not all dealerships try to take advantage of people. This isn’t how you run a business, and I will make sure others know this before making our mistake. Luckily, I have found a consumer attorney and will be filing a claim with the FTC. More

My advice to you is to not buy a vehicle from this dealership. I recently purchased an older model Jeep and 2 days after getting it home it had starting issues. We literally had to have it towed out o dealership. I recently purchased an older model Jeep and 2 days after getting it home it had starting issues. We literally had to have it towed out of our garage the next week. I fully knew we would be taking a risk buying a 2007 vehicle but not 2 days later. The dealership did not do anything to help us. They claimed they could not find the problem other than a fuse after keeping it a week. We got an expensive tow bill to pay as they would only comp us for the fuse. We got it home and it immediately started doing the problem we had it serviced for. The problem they "said" they couldn't replicate. I am so incredibly disappointed. I have wanted a Jeep for over 20 years and unfortunately had to look at the older ones to be able to afford one. I bought this vehicle by myself and was talked into putting $2000 down of my savings into this $16,000 vehicle only to have it fail 2 days later. And then end up with a $200 tow bill 2 weeks later. If this was months out from the purchase I would feel differently. They want to sell cars and wipe their hands after that. So sad. I feel duped and they stood up to the sleazy car dealership reputation that is out there. The listing on the vehicle was also not advertised accurately. I drove over an hour from my home to go see it. It claimed the vehicle had no damage (a back bumper had a large, severe dent) would come with a hard and soft top (it only had the hard top) all interior mats (it had none) and stated nothing about a busted fog light. Even after all of the cosmetic inaccuracies, I decided to buy the vehicle and replace that ourselves. My dealer flat out told me they copy and paste descriptions. I should have known better by that point. My stupid mistake. I was also given 1 page out of 9 pages of the 3 month warranty I would receive for "big" stuff they would cover. I honestly think they left that out intentionally and had to go back and have it printed out in its entirety. The fun of a Jeep is taking the top and doors off. All 4 doors are seized and will not come off. They will not help with this. Again, cosmetic and we can have it done elsewhere, but very disappointing that they want nothing to do with you after you purchase a vehicle. Beware! More
