I rented a car to get to Chicago. The dealership sent a service porter to pick me up from the rental place, which I really appreciated. I got into the car and asked the young man “so how’s your day going?” His response was “Pretty #ucking terrible.” Nice first impression. He proceeded to tell me how his mom had just cracked one of the rims on his low-riding car. Anyway, the dealership was not ready for me. First, my salesperson couldn’t locate my car. She eventually found it. Everything generally looked good, so we went back inside to do the paperwork. They were not ready for me, and it took almost 2 hours for a simple, scheduled used car cash deal. When it was time to leave, I first had to peel all the window stickers off (used car disclosure and other stickers). A BMW dealership can’t get my car ready for me to safely drive? It rained on my way home, which is when I realized how terrible the windshield wipers were. Nice attention to detail, Bill Jacobs. A few days after getting home, I realized the remote start does not work (before I drove 3 hours for the car, I asked if it had remote start as the description said, and I was told it does). After getting home, I received an email from my salesperson asking me to leave good ratings on three different sites telling me that a 10/10 is a passing grade. I replied that I was willing to do that, but I needed some things addressed first (and I proceeded to let them know all of the above). I received absolutely no response to my concerns. Now, about a month later, the car broke down on the interstate outside of Minneapolis, MN during rush hour. The car lost power and would not start. He sat on the side of the road for two hours waiting for a tow truck and then another 2 hours for me to get there to pick him up (he was 3-1/2 hours from home). Thank goodness we have AAA, but I do not plan on doing business with Bill Jacobs again, and I am now more than happy to leave the requested reviews. I just can’t give the requested perfect score because the dealership went radio silent as soon as I drove off the lot. Wow. More
