I went to Coral Springs Honda with a trade in and letter from Chris Hayek with the trade-in value printed on it. When I sat at the desk with Khalid and Faiz Khan, they low-balled under the letter by almost from Chris Hayek with the trade-in value printed on it. When I sat at the desk with Khalid and Faiz Khan, they low-balled under the letter by almost $4K then told me it was the best CarMax could do (didn't know I was dealing with CarMax.) When I presented the letter, they immediately got the price up, but added the difference and the incentives (1000+1000) to make it up on the new car lease. I counter offered with a win-win deal for both sides, but it wasn't accepted and they ended the conversation. So unless they completely dominate the deal, they are unwilling to compromise. More
