What A Great Experience! !! Went into Richard Lucas Subaru just to check out some options for a new vehicle. Walked in and was greeted by Zeke explained that we were shopping !! Walked in and was greeted by Zeke explained that we were shopping around for a new vehicle explained what we were looking for my wife fell in Love with the Subaru Forester that was in the showroom. And a few minutes later a deal was made that we were happy with. While the paperwork was being done the car was taken in the back to be cleaned up a bit. And a short while later we were driving a new Subaru Forester home. A big “ THANK YOU “ to Zeke, Jack , and Erik and all the people behind the scene who made this a very pleasant experience. More

From the time my wife and I pulled into the lot, we were met by friendly people. We were not swamped by hungry sales people, but by people that were interested in helping us find a vehicle that met our need met by friendly people. We were not swamped by hungry sales people, but by people that were interested in helping us find a vehicle that met our needs. We had an appointment to meet with a gentleman named Karan. Karan's friendly smile and warm greeting was reassuring and having been in the car sales business, I legitimately felt that Karan was more interested in "helping" us find a car that met our needs instead of just trying to make a sale. Having done some homework on the Subaru brand, we had questions about three different models. Karan answered our questions and offered to show us each model and even test drive each one. He knew we would take a lot of his time, but he never displayed any sign of impatience. We did test drive two of the three vehicles during which he explaind all of the features each model offered and demonstrated them as well. Once we decided we had our questions answered, Karan even suggested we go into the break room, have a free cup of coffee or hot chocolate and decide what we would like to do next. We decided on a model and what features (bells and whistles) we wanted and went to discuss this with Karan. Again, he patiently went over each item and answered the extra questions we had. Then came the part everyone dreads! We talked price. Karan explained the Richard Lucas pricing method. We asked questions, suggested a different price. He talked to whomever it is in the dealership that authorizes price negotiations and we settled upon what my wife and I as well as the dealership felt was a fair and equitable price for the vehicle we wished to purchase. It was amazingly easy to deal with Karan! Now we went to see the finance manager, Eric. As stated, having been in the car business, I knew Eric had extra items to sell and I wondered how Eric would approach this. Eric started by going over the vehicle we selected, explaining the contract and answering all our questions. He then interjected some add ons available, explaining them and the benefits each had to offer. Not in a pushy way, but in a way that made us feel comfortable talking to him. He again took his time to answer our questions and even suggested we take a less costly item that would meet our needs equally as well as the item I wanted to take. We discussed his suggestion, came to a decision, and my wife and I are now the HAPPY owners of a Subaru Forester!!! Our experience dealing with Karan and Eric was in a word, delightful!!! We never felt pressured or rushed. Both Karan and Eric were professional, knowledgeable, and personable. Once, when Karan was not sure about an item, he took the time to go get the answer. My wife and I had a truly amazing experience dealing with Karan and Eric! We most definitely recommend anyone looking to purchase a Subaru, contact Richard Lucas Subaru in Avenel, NJ and ask to work with Karan and Eric! It will be well worth your time to do so!!! More

Had a great experience with Gary at Richard Lucas Subaru. I was looking for an Outback with a very specific trim and color combination. There were only a handful such cars available in the US so Gary ordered I was looking for an Outback with a very specific trim and color combination.
