Edgar and Dan went out of their way to find my car at a different dealership. They were top notch. I was about to buy another car from a different dealership because initially City Volkswagen wasn't willin different dealership. They were top notch. I was about to buy another car from a different dealership because initially City Volkswagen wasn't willing to give me equity in my lease but a CarMax offer and almost going to another dealership changed that and City came through. I will say, I should have researched VW Care, Maintenance, GAP, and Tire/Rims package because I honestly have no idea if I got a good deal or not. The prices are not published on any VW dealership website and the list of "prices" of different types of service showed to me felt like they were were scaring me into buying the coverage. That said, I really have no baseline nor did I know the car's maintenance schedule so they really have the advantage and you have to trust they aren't pulling a fast one. I will say though, City wanted to charge me $895 for GAP insurance and I was able to add it onto my policy for $7 a month. So, there's that. I would rate Ernie as well but it would be unfair because I still have no idea if what I paid for VW Care and Maintenance was too much. W regards to the car, I'm sure if this car was bought pre chip and car shortage, maybe could have saved a few more bucks but w the car we wanted being the only one in the state and one of six across the country, I really appreciate what Dan was able to do for me. Edgar was also super helpful and went out of his way with his customer service. I forgot my garage door opener in the old car and he dropped it off at my house the following evening. Rock on Edgar. Looking forward for the next 5 years w City. More

I got an instant awesome follow up by (Eric), very elegant and professional sales man. We scheduled a test drive on the same day for my wife and I. Then, at the showroom, we met a super super super nice, respectful and knowledgeable gentlemen (Edgar) who greeted us so warmly, professionally and showed us the car we planned to test drive with (Eric) earlier on the same day. (Edgar) was very knowledgeable and super nice and thoroughly highlighted the great features of the car and our 5-stars experience with him is one of the reasons we leased the car!!! On the next business day, I got a very clear and detailed quotation from (Eric), I really like the professionalism of Eric to make the efforts to send a very detailed quotation. Very relatively quick and elegant negotiation!! followed by quick and elegant agreement!! I really love everything from A-Z by Edgar and Eric. We then met (Edgar) again after agreement in terms with (Eric). Edgar as expected showed us the car again after deep cleaning and sanitizing with super nice attitude, enthusiastic spirit, good heart and educated us more on the car. The final step was going over financial documents with Jennifer who was super super nice, thorough, knowledgeable and very kind!!! This is a what I call five stars experience from A-Z. Thank you city of VW of Chicago!!! I have to say this everyone else in the showroom was showing a lot respect and kindness. More

From the time I spoke to a rep over here at City VW, I knew I was in good hands. I worked with both Edgar and John to receive the best possible deal on a new vehicle while being treated exceptionally well knew I was in good hands. Both are true gentlemen and catered to me professionally, and both have immense knowledge of the vehicles and their capabilities/features. They were able to get me exactly what I was interested in for my family and our needs with many extra bells and whistles . My experience is the best it has ever been at a dealership and I highly recommend you work with either of them while shopping at City VW. To top off my experience, I met with Jennifer who made the financing/signing of paperwork quick, simple and painless as well as educational based on the different warranties offered. Finally, I met with Enrique who helped facilitate picking up my new car and was extremely polite and friendly while we waited for the porter to pull it around front all shiny and clean from a carwash.
