I brought my 22 Kia Sportage to Virginia Beach Kia to get recalls and consumer updates to my car. First I was told there was no recalls for my vehicle, even though I have been actively receiving recall warni recalls and consumer updates to my car. First I was told there was no recalls for my vehicle, even though I have been actively receiving recall warnings from Kia. It took me personally reaching out to Kia. Customer care for them to reach out to Virginia Beach Kia to take care of the recalls. The only reason I brought my car to a Kia dealership was for recalls things that other mechanics cannot do. However, I was concerned when I brought my car in that the battery kept dying. Turns out they couldn't do one of the updates to my car because of the battery. They charged me $250 for a diagnosis of my car. Never addressing my actual concerns of the vehicle the arm for my door that keeps your front doors open when they are opened instead of it just freely swinging is broken on my car. They quoted me $2000 for a brand new door when all I needed was a $40 part. And then when I spoke to Dave the manager of the service department, he tried to push all of the blame onto Sabrina my service advisor. Who was absolutely wonderful by the way. If I could individually rate, the people I had contact with I would write Sabrina a five star because she was patient understanding and she tried her best with the knowledge she had. If I could give Dave an individual rating, it would be a zero. He told me that I needed to get my spark plugs and my battery taken care of and then they could do my recall. He also advised me that if I bought a battery from anywhere else that the battery voltage might not be enough for my car to accept the ECM update. I contacted Greenbrier Kia and they informed me that that is not accurate information. Even though I have the paper that Dave wrote this information down on. Needless to say, I brought my car in for recalls. They did not take care of them not even the ones that did not require my battery to be updated such as the lock for my ignition. I'm so frustrated that I paid $250 to get absolutely nothing done find out information I already knew. And I was charged for a diagnostic when they didn't even diagnose my concerns. And then when I requested a refund, I got no response and I did not receive a refund. Needless to say, southern Kia Chesapeake took care of my vehicle. More

The front desk lady told me that my car would be done in 3-4 days and it ended up being over a week. It was very frustrating. I didn’t have my car for 2 weeks. Not happy at all with the service.
