On 4/12/26 I build an SUV that I wanted, and Toyota of Brookfield shows they have in stock. I make a phone call on 4/13 at 9:25AM, provide their employee with stock number, and she tells me that "they ha Brookfield shows they have in stock. I make a phone call on 4/13 at 9:25AM, provide their employee with stock number, and she tells me that "they have it on their lot". I inform her I will make a 379 mile, or 5 hours and 47 minutes trip to very next morning to the location to purchase this $64,232 vehicle. I receive a text confirmation from Dave Golombowski, Sales Manager, the morning of my trip confirming my appointment at 3:30 pm. I am excited as my friends drives me all the way to Brookfield. Upon our arrival, I noticed parking lot being fairly empty of new vehicles, when the website shows "309 new vehicle available for sale". As I walk in the dealership, I ask for Edwin, as instructed by Dave, and Edwin is happy to look up what I'm looking for, tells me he was unaware he had this specific vehicle on the lot, and goes to grab the keys for it. Buuuuut, there are not keys, and there is no vehicle available for sale. Edwin runs to the used car Sales Manager for help, and he is told that vehicle was sold earlier in the day, and asks me if I'm open to another model, besides the Platinum one that I wanted. After I told him no, my friend takes a walk around the parking lot, and there are no other models available, including the downgraded version that I'm being offered. Edwin is clearly confused, as I'm sure he is trying his best to make a sale. Used car Sales Manager says "sorry about that", as if I order a side of fries and he forgot to bring them out and went back to the kitchen and grabbed a refill. And the worst part is, as we are driving off the lot empty handed, I see that vehicle tucked in the back that shows available, except it is marked sold, and it had an estimated arrival date of 4/24. An almost 12-hour round trip, this is how you treat your customers, with lies and deceit ! More
