Buying A Vehicle The Way It Should Be My wife and I went "car shopping" at Hagerstown Honda. Our primary objective was to find a vehicle, hopefully a CR-V, for her that had a driver's sea My wife and I went "car shopping" at Hagerstown Honda. Our primary objective was to find a vehicle, hopefully a CR-V, for her that had a driver's seat which would "fit," as she has rather severe back issues. The vehicle had to be fuel efficient, have all-wheel-drive, have very little "tech" features, and be easy for her to maneuver. Our sales person was Jason Smith--a true blessing. We presented him with our list of requirements. He immediately went to work demonstrating different CR-Vs, letting my wife "test fit" the driver's seats. We got in and out of different ones, adjusted steering wheels and seats, checked side and rear visibility, sent Jason for more keys, and finally, found one she considered the most comfortable--had all the features she was looking for and none of the ones she didn't want. We went inside and started negotiating a "bottom line" price that I would be satisfied with. Neither Jason or anyone else pressured us during this phase of the purchase. Negotiations went very well and we were soon completing paperwork to make the vehicle ours. We have purchased many brand new vehicles during our lifetime, and this transaction was exemplary. From the time Jason came out to greet us until the time we drove away in our new CR-V , we were well highly pleased with all that transpired. We would certainly deal with Hagerstown Honda, and particularly with Jason Smith if the need for a new vehicle arises in the future. More

We were greeted immediately by Jason upon entering the dealership. Jason listened to everything we wanted and explained all of our options. He went above and beyond getting us into the car we wanted. Honda gave us a discount for being repeat customers! We were in and out in less than 2 hours. He made sure we were comfortable while we waited. He also set my cellphone up with my car and programed my favorite radio stations while we were signing papers. He took the time to show me how to operate everything inside my car so I would feel comfortable before driving away. I highly recommend Hagerstown Honda and Jason Smith. We test drove it and I wanted to see another model., which he showed me as well. After making a decision on the model, he presented me with the different buying options and possible financing. I didn't buy it on the spot as I told him I would come back since I was still shopping around. It took me a couple of days to settle on my decision and in all that time, Jason did not bother me while I considered the choices between dealerships. He did however present me with a better option that sealed the deal. I stopped in and bought the vehicle. More

A formerly loyal customer. You think that would mean something. Nope. I wrote to the online sales manager and ec explained exactly what I was looking for and how much I was willing to pay. He writes come on in and we can work that out. I come, restate exactly what I wanted to a sales manager and salesman. I want for 45 minutes to be told the Honda I purchased from them and which all required maintenance has been performed by them was worth $3k below the Kelly blue book stated value. Then quoted a price and monthly payment $250-$300 above what I had explicitly said I wanted when I wrote to them and reiterated upon arrival. Angry I said no thanks. Please get my vehicle and take it to service for an oil change. It gets worse. I show the Mechanic a coupon for the oil change and he says great. 45 minutes later I ask about my car sitting in the bay right where the salesman left it. The Mechanic asked Me what's it doing there? I was shocked. He said it should be in a different bay. I took my keys and left. No one in their right mind should have any dealings with this dysfunctional out fit. Toyota here I come. More

There was no pressure to look at other cars that I "might" like. I went through autotrader for a trade apprisal as well. I was expecting a ruined trip or a low baller offer for my car. Not here. I drove 2 cars and I was in and out within an hour with my new car. These guys are absolutely wonderful from the sales to finiance. I will be back for my next purchase. More
