My husband and I went to Big Star hoping to drive away with our next vehicle. I spent the day before speaking with Alexandra and she gave me an CONFIRMED drive out cash price of $46,791 for a 2024 Palisad with our next vehicle. Originally, it was $47,291 but I reminded her of the first responder discount of $500 because my husband works for HFD and she said it was the $46,791. I asked her to confirm that was the “out the door cash price” and she confirmed it 3 times. Since we spoke on the phone and I asked her to text me so I had her number for the next day because she called me from a toll number. She text me immediately and I responded. League City is over an hour drive for us, so before I had a chance to text the next day I receive a text that said, “Good Morning, Crystal - Christian here - Sales Manager with Big Star Hyundai. I see you may have a Tentative Appointment Scheduled for Today. To Confirm Your Appointment - Simply Reply “C” to this text. T. Y. We look forward to Assisting You. $250 Gift Card for Test Drive. Confirm Today,” I confirmed immediately and was told to ask for Christian or Isaiah. I stated that I was working with Alexandra and I was told she “works coincide with sales person.” We made the long trip down there and the car we went to see was “in the shop” and no one told us that morning before we drove over an hour. Additionally, we test drove similar cars and my husband was very uncomfortable, he is over 6’ and felt cramped. Even if he didn’t feel like that, when we told Isaiah that Alexandra promised $46,791 he got another sales person, Erin, and she said there was “no way” I was given that number for drive out and that was not going to happen but she would do the best she could - in essence calling me a liar! Erin told my husband and I she would try and get close to that number but she just couldn’t get that low. When she was in the dealership, my husband and I decided it wasn’t the right car, even if they didn’t call me a liar, and even if they actually had the car we went there to see, it just wasn’t going to work AND I didn’t appreciate being lied to and jerked around. So, we went in and told Erin and Isaiah that we just wanted $250 gift card I was promised and we were going to leave. After 10 min, Isaiah comes back and says, “Sorry, the guy who does the gift cards is 45 min out, So…” I can’t say I was surprised. Isaiah promised he would mail it to us but I have been texting Christian and trying to get any of them to respond and confirm they are following through on their promise, but… you guessed it… NO ONE WILL RESPOND AND IT’S JUST EVEN MORE LIES! This place is nothing but liars who do the typical bait and switch to get you there and then… oh no, the car you want is in the shop or someone just bought it… but don’t worry, they will get you a great deal on a more expensive one. Ridiculous and disgusting!!! More

Went in on a Saturday around noon. Test drove a Santa Fe. Liked it decided to buy. Had to leave to pick up car I was going to trade in. Saw the vehicle I was going to buy being loaded Test drove a Santa Fe. Liked it decided to buy. Had to leave to pick up car I was going to trade in. Saw the vehicle I was going to buy being loaded up by another couple. Contacted salesman who said he would get it back and to come in with the trade in. Finally got back close to 5, my vehicle still not back. Took my car to get appraisal and waited around 30 minutes. First offer was outlandish. My spouse said no walked out. Salesman kept stating he wanted to work with us, but my husband gave him a feeling like we weren't serious about a deal. I gave a rough estimate of where we needed yo be to even consider deal. 10 minutes later salesman finds us outside with a minor adjustment on his deal, told no again. We did this 3 times before a sakes manager talked to us and got us comfortable with signing a contract. Was promised a gift card when I made the appointment to test drive, never once was it mentioned and even emailed the manager to inquiry if it was just a ploy to get people in the door. Finally got to finance office around 8:40, had to continue to tell him no for extended coverages. Ready to leave still not with the car I just signed papers on but another one, with the promise it would be back and ready Monday. I texted salesman early Monday around 10, he texted back will be ready 5:30-6. We arrived at 6:10, car not in site. Finally get told people who took it Saturday didn't return it until 5:45. I delivered my old title as well as providing my new insurance card. We waited until 6:40 to finally do a check over on our new vehicle. I pointed out a few paint scuffs and chips. Salesman then tells me if I want them handled to let him know and we'll get it set up. Yes, I want them fixed! Overall it wasn't horrible, but being upfront and honest goes a long way. More
