Relying on this official confirmation, I went ahead and purchased a $250 auto insurance policy in anticipation of picking up the vehicle, handed over a $6,000 cash down payment upon arrival, and signed the paperwork.Thirty minutes into my drive home, I audited the contract from finance manager Valdez at a gas station. Instead of a loan amount of $22,151 ($28,151 minus my $6,000 down), Valdez secretly submitted a loan application for $33,000—attempting to pocket an extra $11,000 in unauthorized charges. I have attached photographic proof of both the original purchase order and this fraudulent contract.I immediately drove back to confront them. Caught red-handed, they tried to cover their tracks by dropping the price to $26,000 (still breaking the original agreement). Worse, Valdez then manipulated my financing. Knowing Lendbuzz offers fixed buy-rates, he quietly jacked up my interest rate from 16% to 18% just to claw back a higher kickback commission.Refusing to tolerate this blatant dishonesty, I walked away from the deal and drove 7 hours back to Maine empty-handed. This scam cost me unpaid hourly wages, $250 for useless auto insurance, $200 in gas, and a $60 rental car. I am filing official fraud complaints with the New York Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. Avoid Curry Toyota—Chriss and Valdez will exploit your trust the second you look away. More
