First, I just want to take a moment to brag on Mr. Nathaniel Rogers, service director at Mike Johnson Hickory Toyota, who delivers to his customers what I refer to as, Chick-Fil A customer service; I Nathaniel Rogers, service director at Mike Johnson Hickory Toyota, who delivers to his customers what I refer to as, Chick-Fil A customer service; I think it safe to say that not many fast-food restaurants come close to exemplifying such exceptional customer satisfactory! Nathaniel is an honest man with good candor and integrity. His pragmatic approach allows very little room for biased decisions when dealing with complex situations. Throughout my service experience, he was very informative (keeping me updated and in the loop) responsive, and punctual. I felt heard, understood, and like a part of his Toyota family! I have been a proud Toyota owner for almost 20 years now; I’ve visited many other Toyota dealerships from Statesville to Charlotte. However, for the past 4 years, Mike Johnson has exceeded my expectations! The staff are always kind, and the waiting area is always clean and feels very warm and inviting. The environment makes the wait not feel daunting. Taking your car in for service can be a bit stressful at times, especially when the technicians come to you at every visit with a long list of needed services, with a few that you kindly decline, only to have them come back a second time with an additional service that you need, causing you to feel pressured and overwhelmed. I have never felt that way at Mike Johnson Toyota, I don’t feel like I’m being bamboozled, I know that I can trust that if my tech. I will continue to return for services and will continue referring family and friends for any auto needs! A huge thanks to Andy, Nathaniel, and all staff at Mike Johnson Hickory Toyota, for always going above and beyond to make their customers feel appreciated! More

PLEASE don’t take your vehicle to this dealership for service! I purchased a new Tacoma in 2023 and it came with 2 free oil changes. Each and every time I took the vehicle to them for service, there was service! I purchased a new Tacoma in 2023 and it came with 2 free oil changes. Each and every time I took the vehicle to them for service, there was an issue. First service they left the caps off my tire valves, small I know but it speaks to the lack of attention to detail. First oil change they left oil on my steering wheel and shift lever. Second oil change they left the OIL FILLER CAP off the filler tube on the engine and I drove it over 2000 miles before I noticed it missing. I took it back to service where I received lots of fast talk and excuses, but they agreed to change the oil and filter, clean the filler neck, and rep[lace the cap that was left off. In a little over 1000 miles the Change oil service light came on because they failed to reset it when they changed the oil. Now if they reset it, it will be 9000 miles off for the next change, leaving me to pay for a change sooner than needed to make it right. I returned to the dealership to have the light reset, and when I voice my displeasure, the service manager offered to change the oil again to make it right. I was grateful for the offer and accepted, shaking his hand. After the service and my vehicle was returned with his personal word everything was right and taken care of, I pulled out of the shop area. Something told me to check the vehicle before I left the lot. I parked and crawled under the truck only to discover the oil pan bolt and filter had not been touched. Not only was it not oily or wiped clean, it was covered with sandy road grime just like the rest of the bottom of the truck! No wrench marks or anything on the filter either, just the same road grime as I had just returned from the coast where the sandy road dust had coated the entire bottom. The skid plate covering the oil filter that must be removed to change the filter had no hand prints in the road grime and had not been touched. I walked back onto the shop area only to be told the oil had most assuredly been changed because it looked new on the dipstick. It only had about 1000 miles on it and it’s a new truck! I would hope it would still look new. I have been a certified mechanic for 20 years of my life and I not a dummy. It hurts when people treat you like you are a dummy and deny that they flat lied to me. After leaving I looked at the work order and it plainly says 25000 mile service No Oil Change, and the was no parts charged for the filter. I am flabbergasted that any dealership of this size would be so unethical and deceptive. BEWARE! More

I have been working in Asheville doing the recovery clean up for several months. I'm driving 150 miles each day and I just thought I would try to rent a car and the recovery process is projected to be anothe up for several months. I'm driving 150 miles each day and I just thought I would try to rent a car and the recovery process is projected to be another year for the hurricane Helene clean up so I asked if they could give a discount price for a vehicle for me to drive and this is what they offered and this is a rich person offering a rental car for $800 a month plus a $200 security deposit plus required to keep full coverage insurance on the car now after 3 months you have to come out of that car and you're not allowed to rent another car for the next 30 days that's a rich company that would love to build their neighborhood back up and support communities around them I mean I kind of see it as a rich company that wants more money from people that's dealing with the disaster and lost everything and someone's trying to help clean it up and that's what a rich person does they try to line their pockets a little bit fatter well I don't think I would be doing business with this company if I was to buy a new car today More

Buy the way JR was very nice both days. He quoted a price of $1141 the day before. The new bill was $1471. well I questioned this and they added discounts and he talked to his boss and we were charged $1141. when i left i had a tire light on so i returned. they could not get it fixed so i returned at 8:i5 the next morning. finially they said a tire sensor was broken. This had to be broken while installing the new tires. The boss insinuated that we broke it because it wasnt inside the tire. it had to be broken when the tires were changed. this time i was there 4 hrs more. The tires were priced right but it wasnt worth the hassel. The tech had to know it was broken the day before. The service writers came in there to just about everybody and wanted to replace their wiper blades and add juel injector cleaner. my experience was terriable. Believe me Dont give Mike a try. I have 2 Toyotas but will most likely not return. we bought a 2020 Camay a couple yrs ago. we paid cash for it . We never heard a thank you or peep out of anyone after the sale. So to save $5000 dont give Mike a try.I have a 2006 4/4 Tacoma. More
