Andrea unfortunately ruined what should have been an exciting first car-buying experience for me. I brought my parents with me because this was my first time purchasing a vehicle, and I wanted their sup exciting first car-buying experience for me. I brought my parents with me because this was my first time purchasing a vehicle, and I wanted their support and opinion. At first, Andrea was very open and friendly. She asked the right questions and seemed knowledgeable. However, once we started looking at the two vehicles I was considering, the experience changed. When we went out to the cars, she didn’t bring the keys. She also pulled me aside and told me she knew I liked the bigger vehicle. We ended up test-driving it, and she did a great job explaining the features. The biggest issue was that I was never given the opportunity to compare the prices or payments before becoming invested in the vehicle. Andrea connected my phone to the car and handed me the keys before I was even told what the payment would be. I had already explained that I wanted to stay between $400–$500 a month, with $500 already being a stretch. When Gina from finance came out and told me the payment was $588 a month, I immediately started crying. I felt extremely upset because I had been encouraged to fall in love with a vehicle that was outside of the budget I had clearly communicated. To make matters worse, Andrea repeatedly shut my parents out of the conversation and cut them off when they tried to speak. I understand that I am 26 years old, but I brought my parents with me because I value their opinions and wanted their support during such a big purchase. At one point, Andrea came up to me and said, “I just let a woman sit in your car so she could see if she liked it,” which felt like an unnecessary pressure tactic and made an already emotional situation even more uncomfortable. I am extremely thankful to Gina for stepping in and helping me find a more affordable option. She listened to my budget, showed me other vehicles, and was absolutely amazing to work with. I was ultimately able to purchase a similar vehicle that was actually within my price range. Unfortunately, after I chose a different vehicle, Andrea’s demeanor completely changed. She became very cold and rude, which left an even worse impression. Buying my first car should have been an exciting and positive experience. Instead, I left feeling pressured, ignored, and upset. I’m grateful to Gina for turning the experience around, but I would not recommend working with Andrea based on my experience. More
