Every other dealership I’ve worked with has had the plates ready when I arrived. This is my eighteenth vehicle purchase, and it was a first — and absolutely a last — at Atamian Honda. Atamian Honda is also noticeably behind the times with its technology and processes. There is no reason a modern dealership shouldn’t be using something like DocuSign for paperwork. Instead, I had to make five separate trips just to complete a basic purchase. I’m staying at my summer home in Ogunquit, more than an hour away, so this level of inefficiency wasn’t just inconvenient — it was unacceptable. During the test‑drive walkthrough, I pointed out damage on three wheels and a small hole in the rear bumper. I was told their used vehicles always go through a prep process and that issues like these are “always addressed” before customer pickup by a dedicated staff member. The total price of the car with tax and fees was $31,613. I offered $31,000 out the door. Their response? If they accepted $31,000, they wouldn’t perform the prep work they claim to do on every used car, and I’d have to pay for it myself. In other words, Atamian Honda was willing to skip its own stated standards of quality over a $613 difference. I will say that the sales representative I worked with was excellent.
