Went in to buy a lightly used 2022 Tesla Model Y. Great car and wanted to buy. I don’t finance thru dealers and never have. Was burnt once by not being able to pay off the loan early. When I tell the salesman I would like to buy the vehicle and tell him that i already have financing, He tells me that the price on Autotrader is only available to people who use the dealer financing. I'm a Florida resident trying to buy a Ford Lightning Lariot. I called and spoke to Ruby who is hung up on an alleged policy of not negotiating on the phone. We agreed on a price for a used car after haggling for a few hours for them to change the deal when I went back to purchase on a different day. Also as others have stated, prices seem decent but they'll add $10k worth of xx you don't want. Save yourself some time (and probably money too) and go to a legitimate dealer. More
