Untrustworthy lying used car salesman (read until the end).
I went there to check out a used car I had seen online. Made an appointment (easy). Changed the appointment last minute due to work (equally as easy). Once there, they got me in the car and i took it for a test-drive. There were no high-pressure tactics by the salesman. There were some issues with the car (rear camera not working, tires that were on the edge, and dodgy brakes) that I was told would cost about $3k to do and they would only do them if i wanted the vehicle. I was early in my search, but i really liked it, so i said yeah, I'll take it.
Radio silence for the better part of 3 weeks and then I get a call that the vehicle is ready if i still want it, which I did, but in the meantime, the price has dropped twice on cargurus, the site where i originally saw the vehicle listed.
When i tell my salesman that, he says cargurus is scambaiting people, and tons of dealers are suing them for false prices and that they've already offered me the best price they can. HOWEVER, the current price online is about $900 cheaper.
After investigating it on my own, i discovered that not only does cargurus NOT set prices, but that Prestige actually paid money to have their vehicle come up on top as Sponsored.
If you as a dealer care so little that you would tell such an easily disprovable lie, what other lies are you telling your customers? So now I'm left without a vehicle, and I'm the market for one AGAIN, thanks to Prestige.
PS out of dozens of businesses I've rated around the world, never before have i rated a business 5 stars only to drop it to 1 star a few weeks later.
PPS i have yet to receive my deposit back, I've had to file a claim through my credit card.
