My husband bought a 2020 GMC Sierra from Garber Randall - inkimwetrust

My husband bought a 2020 GMC Sierra from Garber Randall GMC in Canandaigua this past May, and in under 90 days we’ve already made three service trips—each one more outrageous than the last. In week one the tires were so badly out of balance the truck vibrated at highway speeds, yet we received no apology—just a quick fix and sent on our way. On purchase day our salesman, Raymond Burke, promised a second key at no charge; weeks of empty phone calls blaming the previous owner for “forgetting” to ship it only ended when we returned in person to pick up a complimentary replacement. Then, just last week, my husband was cruising on the highway when the oil light blazed on and the engine went bone-dry. Garber Randall GMC’s “solution,” as relayed by head of service David Hoe, was to drive another 600 miles to see if the oil consumption would settle, then bring it back—because it’s “more than likely” an engine failure requiring a teardown and rebuild, covered for just two years. At drop-off Tuesday David Hoe acted clueless about our previous issues, circling answers without offering any timeline or accountability. Their courtesy loaner lacked running boards—especially problematic since my husband had previous knee surgery. When we asked for a different vehicle, we were told the only available vehicle was the 2025 model we were in, which still wouldn’t solve the entry issue. What should have been a short repair turned into an uncomfortable two-week ordeal—and something about this whole experience doesn’t make me feel secure with my purchase moving forward. A 2020 Sierra should never need tire rebalancing, a replacement key, and an engine rebuild before its first anniversary—and a dealership that dodges responsibility, shrugs at safety issues, and leaves you stranded on the highway isn’t earning your trust. Buyer beware.

I wanted to say what a first class establishment Mr. Goldstein is running. This is my second new purchase from them, another Dream Truck! Thank You Dan especially. Thank You Noah as well. Thank You Scott from Service. And especially Thank You to Mike Flower. His courtesy, professionalism, and my experience buying from him was exemplary. Highly recommend you ask for him. Love, love, love my new Sierra 3500HD. Have to say, I do miss my 2012 Sierra 2500HD SLE that I traded, and I bought new there in 2012. Not one problem in 13 years, and 154 k miles. THAT IS WHY I ONLY WILL BUY GMC. Ken Monkell

Above excellent. - Ethaniel Jones

Above excellent. I went to three Toyota dealerships yesterday and was given the run around and was lied to. I came to this Buick dealership and they took very good care of me. Left with a brand new 2025 Buick Encore which is the color I wanted and the model I wanted. I am more than pleased with my experience, and have already recommended someone to that dealership. Shout out to the Vail Buick team, you guys definitely have a returning customer in me. Thank you Carl, for your superb service. It made a bad day into a great day. I absolutely love and adore my car, thank you again for such a wonderful experience! 10/10 highly recommend. These guys are the best of the best!

If you are shopping for a car STOP and go see Josh. - T doggy

If you are shopping for a car STOP and go see Josh. Rather than wasting a ton of time haggling with a bunch of dealers to try and work a good deal, just go see Josh and let him know what you need and he makes it happen. Well done Josh, way to change the way car salesman usually are. Fair, Honest and kind. A better car buying experience !!!

I haven't had such a negative experience. - bobm@1strun.com

I haven't had such a negative experience. The salesmen Joe Fusco told me he had the car I requested but lied over and over. He could have told me at any time that he couldn't deliver the car. Instead he chose to lie until it was too late for me to shop elsewhere. I lost the incentive of $3000 because the incentive ended. For an advertised family owned and operated business I can't imagine have a family like this. This salesman is the reason people don't trust car dealers.

Scheduled a time to have the transmission serviced in my - Johngalt1060

Scheduled a time to have the transmission serviced in my 2020 GMC Denali and expected to have the fluid changed and internal filter replaced. Instead, they only changed the fluid and did NOT replace the transmission filter. I spoke to the service manager, who would not provide his full name (Scott) and he said it wasn’t necessary to replace the filter because they flushed the entire system with a detergent. My GMC service manual calls for a fluid and filter change every 45,000 miles. I will never use the service department at Davidson GMC again. I wasted $400.

Stay away from this dealership. - blhew

Stay away from this dealership.I Havana 2025 Buick Enclave that is a great vehicle and sales person was great, the dealership however is a different story. The status of the vehicle was showing 18 per cent left on the front brakes. Davidson’s wanted $300.00 for new pads but the guy I hired to check them got the pads force less than a third of that. When he pulled the wheels tgr brake pads looked like new, he said the status on the dash needed to be updated but he said the dealer would have to do it. I called Davidsons and they were going to charge me a diognostic fee when it only had 19000 miles on it. I won’t ever buy another vehicle from them.
