I can’t say enough good things about the service team at West Herr! A problem developed with the wiper motor in my Mustang, and without me even asking, they set up their mobile pick-up and delivery service to get the car into the shop. Service Manager Adam kept me informed throughout the entire process and made sure the wiper motor parts were ordered and handled smoothly. On top of that, the team tackled a pesky rear convertible window issue that had been frustrating me for a long time, getting both problems completely resolved. Special thanks to Ashley for top-notch coordination—the mobile service idea is absolute gold, and the customer care from everyone involved was outstanding. I’m thrilled with the work, and I hope they don't mind me complimenting West Herr once again! I will definitely be recommending West Herr to all my friends and neighbors.

8/14/2026 Not sure where to begin. My Lincoln MKX needed an oil change. Unfortunately, my regular Lincoln Dealership Service Department, could not get me in, until the end of August. So, I opted to have Mastel do it. Upon arrival at Mastel 8/11/26, I noted the exterior of the building was in need of repair and took it into consideration. But I think, it was the moment I opened the door, and smelled that lingering odor of stale cigarette smoke, that really made me question if I should proceed. I needed the oil change, so I pushed myself to enter. Michael at the counter, said that they will perform a "multi-point check" on my vehicle, in addition to changing my oil. I VERY CLEARLY stated "...Please do not touch, look at, or attempt any sort of multi check of my vehicle, just do the oil change...." To which he stated "..we have to do the multi point check, or we can not change your oil...." To which I again stated not to do it. We went back and forth and it was clear, Mastel Ford of Olean, will not change your oil, unless you allow them to do this multi point check, regardless of your requests. It took Mastel 2.5 hours to change my oil and two air filters. I feel very insecure and fearful of what might have been done to my vehicle by the service department at Mastel, during this very lengthy appointment. The final issue with Mastel, looking at the Bill/Invoice which states "...Customer requested a multi point vehicle check...." I mean, really? I see Mastel Ford as dinosaur that is almost dead, piles of employee cigarette butts on the outside, stinking odor on the inside, strong- arming customers into multi vehicle checks, just to make money. Pathetic. I never asked for the multi vehicle check and anyone who does, should do so with great caution. I would highly caution anyone, to have this service department touch your vehicle. After the sale they gave me temporary plates for 30 days. Sale went through ok. Problems starts after. Now that they’re not making any money they don’t care about the customer. So it took them 40 days after the sale to register my vehicle. That means that I could not drive my vehicle from day 30 to day 40 I had to call them several times to get this problem fixed. At one point they hid and didn’t pick my texts or my phones acting like stupid kids. Ridiculous! Be aware, if they owe you something after the sale you will need to do it yourself because they don’t care and there’s no money incentive for them.

This is a warning for anyone looking at Greenwich Ford. I am speaking up because I have the documentation to back up every word. My experience from January was a textbook shell game. ​When I walked in with my wife, I was met by three different people who looked us in the eye and lied. One man shook our hands, patted us on the shoulder, and promised, "We'll take care of you," while giving me a false name and position. After seven months of digging, I discovered that I never even met the real General Manager. ​I realized the extent of the deception only after bringing the truck back to the service desk to address the issues I noticed during the test drive—specifically the engine ticking from the leaking exhaust manifolds and the steering shimmy. It was there that I was informed of a "down payment" requirement for a warranty fix, which led me to uncover the truth about my deal. The finance manager had pulled off a classic bait-and-switch: my $6,000 down payment disappeared on one copy of the contract but reappeared when reported to the finance company, while the price of the truck was inflated from $30,000 to $39,864. They funneled that money into DOWC warranties I never asked for and never signed for. This has cost me thousands of dollars in financing charges over the life of the loan. To make matters worse, my contract states a 72-month term, but my finance company’s app shows a 73-month term. ​I also realized that the repairs they tried to charge me for should have been covered under their own 60-day/3,000-mile "good to go" guarantee. Doing my own research was a gold mine that finally answered questions we haven't been able to solve for seven months. There are names appearing in these reviews that aren't on any official rosters. It is shocking what goes on with these dealerships and the games they play. I am thorough, and I am preparing for my day in court because I have the documentation to prove exactly what happened. ​Check your paperwork closely before you take that truck or car home, even if you just finished signing the deal. Compare every copy to ensure your down payment is applied correctly and the loan terms match. Research the staff before you go so you know exactly who you are dealing with.
