If you wish to be treated like a first class person instead of a "mark" then this dealership is for you! They are friendly and not pushy, value your time and not take your entire day, understandable of your needs and not just trying to put your name on a sales board. You tell them what you want and how much you are willing to pay. They work toward that in as little time as humanly possible. My initial contact was Brett. He is an outstanding young man who understands hard work. He is respectful, knowledgeable and exudes a happy charm. I am a "golden years" person who likes being treated as such. Brett is family oriented and a good resident of the Salem-Keizer area. Joe and Bill assisted Brett. Joe made only one response to my needs and it was spot on! Bill is a financial person with personality and got my wife and I rolling on the road quickly. My family is acquainted with the Withnell family by being part of this community. Dick Withnell and his son have given of themselves toward bettering the lives of many. Tireless hours of volunteer work have been given by Dick. We appreciate him very much. More
Steve Baty was wonderful right off the bat. He doesn't give you the run around and he acts like you're an old friend. He never acted like I was stupid or that any of my questions were either. Every employee was friendly and greeted me with a smile. I received an internet quote on a new Elantra from this dealer. The dealer was agreeing to wave the doc, title, and lic fees and sell me the car at MSRP. Drove over 2 hours to get there and they had alread dealer. The dealer was agreeing to wave the doc, title, and lic fees and sell me the car at MSRP. Drove over 2 hours to get there and they had already sold the car. OK, i hadn't put any money down on it but they refused to honor the waving of the fees for any other vehicle. Fealt like this was a classic bait and switch and was not happy. Fortunately, Sheppard Motors in Eugene was VERY nice about it and honored the offer and then some. They were very friendly, straight forward and will definitely get my business in the future... But buyer beware if you're going to Whitnell... More
Purchased a vehicle there on Sunday the 21st. We drove a long distance and the car had almost an empty tank, we asked to get some gas put in the car, I dont think that should have been a big deal. MY major problem was that the salesman said "it is not our policy to put gas in a used vehicle". So when I was sitting with the finance manager, I explained to him the situation and he made a call to have gas put in. I appreciated that sign of service and freindlyness. When we finished I went to the car and it was still empty. I asked why and I was told "you were told no by the salesman and we considered it a closed issue". That really made me angry. Not to mention that there was only one key as well which we didnt find out until delivery. That probly sounds like a small thing but even Enterprise gives 2 keys, fobs and minimum 1/2 tank of gas. HOWEVER if the personel would have been profesional and explained the situation to me kindly, I would have accepted the situation and left without the feeling I had. To me you can buy a car anywhere, the differance is service and they definatly treated me like as soon as I signed.....get the hell out. I will NEVER go back for that reason right there. POOR SERVICE! More
