Timing Chain Cover Leak Brought 2012 Prius C in for multi-point inspection prior to warranty expiration. Report came back clean. Upon my own inspection found windshield wiper Brought 2012 Prius C in for multi-point inspection prior to warranty expiration. Report came back clean. Upon my own inspection found windshield wiper fluid low and tire pressure low, thus doubted reliability of "report". Upon next multi-point inspection after warranty expiration (had only driven 1330 miles and vehicle had 48,000 miles) was told timing chain cover leaking oil. To repair would cost $2300.00, but with my "discount" ONLY $1700.00. I am Journeyman Power Plant Mechanic and am familiar with this type of leak. The seepage occurs because of bad gasket and occurs over long periods of driving as oil viscosity thins. In addition was told oil level 2 quarts low. I had checked oil level several days prior and was full. There was no oil on ground under car in parking spot. Have found out this is common problem with that model and that Toyota used cheap gasket. Definitely felt I was being "conned". Have contacted corporate and they basically have said "too bad". Believe next step is Consumer Affairs and Better Business Bureau. More

Very disappointed with use car salesman **BEWARE* Very disappointed with the car and the deal you gave me. You all knew there was damage on the dashboard and you tried covering up with the a **BEWARE* Very disappointed with the car and the deal you gave me. You all knew there was damage on the dashboard and you tried covering up with the armor all. Due to the way the sun was over the car the two times I saw it, you couldn't tell that there was damage to the dash on the driver side. Just looked like the sun reflecting off the dash. Your detailers (I like to call them "maskers") used about a gallon of armor all to soak that area but as the armor all dried the more prominent the damage became. You knew I was going to buy a car from you, why would you screw me this way? I asked your salesman to make it right and fix this problem all he could say was you signed on the dotted line and I can get you a quote on how much it would be to repair. I did believe in west coast and have been bringing my other car to you for maintenance since I purchased it. That all ends now. I'll be writing Toyota and also commenting on the way you do business every way I can to make sure the public knows that you're just out for yourselves. Very sad More
