I can't say enough about Quality L/M/H. From Marty Cook, owner, Bob Karan, GM and Jeremy Ficcaglia, Sales/Leasing, this dealership goes far and above the rest with not only 'Quality' but customer service as owner, Bob Karan, GM and Jeremy Ficcaglia, Sales/Leasing, this dealership goes far and above the rest with not only 'Quality' but customer service as well. I will continue to purchase/lease from this dealer and recommend everyone I know do so also! More
I brought my vehicle to this dealership (Quality Lincoln Mercury Hyundai) to have a front axle replaced. Usually I perform all maintenance and service to my own vehicles. However, at the time when my vehicl Mercury Hyundai) to have a front axle replaced. Usually I perform all maintenance and service to my own vehicles. However, at the time when my vehicle needed service I was right around the corner from this dealership. Despite knowing that dealerships charge a great deal more than many smaller shops I decided to have them perform work for me thinking I will be paying more but I will receive excellent service in return. I can tell you this is not what I received and I'm kicking myself for it now. They were very friendly, but they fell very short on all the other important things that really matter. The most important is the quality of their workmanship. If you ask me I will tell you that Quality does not live up to it's name when performing service on customer vehicles. The "Quality" work they performed for me was such that after paying almost $400 to have them put on a part that I could have bought myself and put on for $80, I had to get back under my vehicle myself and replace a wheel bearing (hub assembly) that I believe they damaged when replacing my axle. The humming noise coming from the wheel bearing was so noticeable that I can't imagine how a certified mechanic could miss it. I am not a mechanic myself but I am very handy with tools and I have a high aptitude for mechanical things. I noticed the bearing noise coming from the vehicle as soon as I drove directly from the dealers lot, however, they had just performed work on that side and put the new axle in so I assumed that maybe the new axle just sounded different or it might need to be broken-in. It took me a while to figure out what the problem was but the noise didn't go away and I knew there was something wrong. I did bring my vehicle back to the dealer to have them look at it and they confirmed that it was in fact the wheel bearing from the same side they had performed work on. Their solution was to now charge me $275 to have the wheel bearing replaced. At this point I was angry and I explained to them that I feel they damaged the part and they should cover it. Or at least if it had been bad in the first place then they could have recommended it being changed the same time they performed the axle replacement to at least save me the hassle of coming back again or even some money (remember the damaged bearing was so noticeable I can't imagine a certified mechanic not knowing it was bad). They did make many other recommendations for things I should do to my vehicle, all of which came with a huge price estimate, however, they missed something so noticeable. To me it feels like it's some kind of scam to have me keep coming back and getting parts replaced that they damage because they know I have the money. Well, I was not going to pay them another dime so I ended up buying the hub assembly for less than $65 and putting it on my vehicle myself (which is no easy task). For the work done to my vehicle it would have cost me less than $150 to do myself. And with the price I paid and the damage they caused to the bearing it cost me over $400. I will never make this mistake again! For those who aren't mechanically inclined or don't know any better I really hope you do some research or at least get a good reference before choosing where to have work done. I would NOT recommend Quality Lincoln Mercury Inc. to anyone. I feel as if I have been scammed; I come in to have a part replaced for a ridiculous price and then another part is damaged and of course to fix that there is another ridiculous price estimate. The service manager did say he would accept 50% responsibility for the damaged bearing and would only charge me $135 to have it replaced instead of the $275 quoted. I declined and put it on myself for less than $65 and now I have piece of mind knowing the job is done right. I should have just done it myself the first time and I would've saved $300. More
