Took a few hours to get an approval for my new car. The reason I gave such a low rating is the lack of communication regarding delivering me my new car. I was told it would be delivered within three days and by the third day I had still not received any information regarding the vehicle to the point I had to call and wait over an hour just to be told that it’ll be a few more days until I can receive my car at which point it’ll be close to a week since I had purchased it. So now I have to put my children’s car seats back into my old car just to remove them again in a few days More

My experience was a rollercoaster. I was initially working with Van Horn Latino, where I was waiting for a specific car. After a couple weeks of waiting for it, they apologized to me b I was initially working with Van Horn Latino, where I was waiting for a specific car. After a couple weeks of waiting for it, they apologized to me because they said it had now been sold. I was crushed! So I called Van Horn of Manitowoc where they told me the vehicle had not been sold. Great news, back on a high! I then make arrangements with Van Horn Latino to make the 4 hour (round trip) drive to go pick it up. I make it up there and they tell me the wrong vehicle was brought up from Manitowoc. They said I could just go up to Manitowoc though. So now my drive time went up 2 hours. We pull up to Manitowoc, and things improved significantly. We parked and the second we got out of the car, the manager rolled up with the vehicle I had been waiting for, before we could even walk in to their dealership. It felt like VIP services! We were given keys, we test drove it. Came back and were introduced to Moises. We worked with him to make the purchase. He was great, friendly and professional. The whole buying process at Manitowoc was very quick for buying a car. There were no hiccups in the process. Everyone there was great, from the manager to Moises to the financial guy! The car was sparkly clean and interior was spotless! Detail guys did a great job too! I purchased on a Saturday. Took vehicle to a dealer out by me on Tuesday because I was hearing a strange noise. Dealer is going to schedule a time where they can keep the vehicle for repairs. Still under warranty, thankfully! The only reason I did not give full 5 starts is because I purchased a Hybrid. It was advertised with a level 2 charger included with purchase. I am new to electric cars so when I made the drive home, I looked around the vehicle and no charger was to be found. I reached out to them and they apologized and said they would be sending me the charger. Fast forward a week later, I call them and they tell me they are sending me a level 1 but that it’s on ‘back order’. So now it has been over 3 weeks of having my hybrid and still not being able to charge it. Kind of disappointing as I purchased it looking forward to driving it in electric mode to and from work but have been unable to do so. I haven’t received any follow up on the status of that charger either. So I just ordered one this weekend and now looking forward to being able to finally charge my vehicle! Overall great dealership and I wish I would have gone through them from the start. We will probably go back to them once our other vehicle needs to be replaced. I’ve recommended them to family and friends since and will continue to do so. So if you’re wondering if you should go through Van Horn of Manitowoc, the answer is yes. More
